Aircraft Maintenance Technician:

Seventeen years as an AMT, I am trained and have experience in researching, reading and interpreting the

following; FAA regulations, manufacturers service documents, schematics and blueprints. I am also familiar

with mechanical, D.C. electric and hydraulic systems, overhauling aircraft components, using manual

machinist operations such as lathes, mills, presses, grinders and precision measuring tools also, sheet metal

forming, riveting, fiberglass lay-ups, dynamic balancing and gas welding, NDT procedures; eddy current, dye

penetrant and magnetic particle inspections. All of the above skills are all used to ultimately determine the

airworthiness and safety of the aircraft.

Private Pilot:

Pilots are also required to be familiar with FAA regulations. Other skills include map reading, operating

navigation and communication electronics, making go, no-go decisions, and mastering the controls of a

complex piece of machinery operating in a fluid environment.
