Program Coordinator I (2003-2006)
. Coordinated the Kentucky State Loan Repayment Program. The
coordination of the State Loan Repayment Program involved
advertising the program, program review, providing contracts,
subcontracts, and the monitoring of contracts. Also involved
providing required reports, coordinating with federal program
officials and UK Research Foundation, and assisting with writing
the yearly continuation grant for the program. Provided
assistance and training to staff who later took over
coordination of this particular program.

coordinating work efforts in various programs within the Center.

. Coordinated, planned and managed clerical needs of Community
Programs Division and the Kentucky State Office of Rural Health.

. Provided assistance with grant preparation, writing, and
research. Coordinated grant management activities with Lexington
campus personnel. Assisted with writing continuation grants for
division.
. Coordinated the Community Scholarship Program and the Kentucky
State Loan Repayment Program. The coordination of the State Loan

membership lists. This Coalition eventually evolved into the

. Assisted with Center's annual report and with the quarterly
rural health newsletter. Developed and maintained 5000+ mail
list. Initially provided all assistance with newsletter layout,
graphics and revisions. Was responsible for coordinating the
printing and mailing of all newsletters. Requisitioned articles
for newsletters and assisted with or wrote news releases for
various projects.

. Provided extensive assistance with developing three-volume
comprehensive health-related statistical report sponsored by the
Good Samaritan Foundation and later distributed across the
state.
. Provided assistance with developing and maintaining various
databases within the Division and with statistics and research
for state workforce study completed by the Center.
. Provided assistance with research, data, and reports included in
the Minority Health and Elderly Health in Kentucky reports
developed by the Center and distributed across the state.
. Worked with the Community Programs Division to assist with the
initial implementation and coordination of the Community
Initiated Decision Making (CIDM) project.
. Assisted with surveys conducted to collect data related to
health-related behaviors, community hospitals, EMS systems
across the state, and various other data.

Testing Officer/Census Crew Supervisor
. Worked as testing officer prior to start-up of 1990 Census.
Responsible for locating and securing sites which could be used
for testing locations at no charge to the government.
Responsible for advertising locations of testing sites though
any means available which could be provided without charge to
the Bureau. Administered and scored all census tests in three
counties and provided information to Bureau.
. Promoted to crew supervisor when full operation began.
Supervised 20-30 people in several counties. Traveled to each
county, reviewed and approved work of census-takers, met with
crews daily, approved time sheets and provided information to
Census Bureau.
