Qualifications:
- Held a position as the General Manager for a small HVAC company in
Pomona, California. Responsibilities included scheduling of service
technicians and install personnel, generating quotes, ordering job
materials and coordinating installations. Interviewed and tested job
applicants and also assisted office staff with daily operations.
- Acted as Service manager, provided on the job training for new
technicians as well as technical field support. Supervised and coordinated
commercial equipment replacement and service jobs. Responsible for the
troubleshooting of existing EMS systems, air side performance and
mechanical design issues. Performed all load calculations and duct sizing
compliant with ASRAE manuals J and D.
- Subcontracted the installation, start up and commissioning of
proprietary DDC energy management systems in several retail stores located
in California, Arizona, and Nevada. Experienced in the installation of
VFDs on retrofit applications and the interfacing of new controls
to a variety of existing HVAC equipment and lighting control panels.
- Proficient in troubleshooting and servicing commercial HVAC systems
including reciprocating chillers, built up systems, heat pumps and package
units.
Combined field service experience of over 20 years.
- Obtained a California contractors C-20 license, current status is
inactive.
I have also been a member of RSES and ACCA in the past and have been
registered as a proctor for the FSU EPA certification exams for refrigerant
transition and recovery. Administered training and proctored examinations
for companies such as Honeywell, Southern California Edison and several
school districts in southern California.
- Held a position as an Ohio accredited instructor in the Building Engineer
Program at West Side Institute of Technology in Cleveland Ohio while
attending
college at Cleveland State university. Subjects taught included basic
electricity
and motor theory, refrigeration, air conditioning, gas and oil heating, lab
classes
as well as specialty classes for GM Inland Division and Fisher foods.
Also
subcontracted the installation, start up and commissioning of Carrier-
Parker VVT
systems in the greater Cleveland area.
