HUMAN RESOURCES/PAYROLL/ACCOUNTS PAYABLE

. Recruit employees via newspaper ads, temporary services, MiWorks,

headhunters, etc.

. Perform extensive interview sessions including administering applicable

testing.

. Perform reference checks, set up pre-employment drug screens and

physicals.

. Generate offer letters and individual benefit packages through the

collaboration of the Plant Manager.

. Provide new employee orientations which included (but not limited to)

providing company specific information, benefit enrollment, payroll

. Maintain a Time QWest system that tracks scheduling, time card entries,

departments, employee personal information, etc. Also, maintain an

attendance spreadsheet and point system for absences, tardies and call in

vacations.

. Administer discipline in a fair and consistent manner by balancing

employee needs with company policies.

. Perform lay-offs, suspensions or terminations as needed.

. Counsel plant floor leaders on how to motivate and handle employees with

tact, fairness and consistency, as well as issues to look for.

. Perform bi-weekly payroll utilizing Oracle 11i.

. Perform confidential investigations into personnel issues while

maintaining a high level of professionalism. Prepare documentation for

Corporate office and for the file.

. Coordinate, coach and oversee FMLA and STD benefits for all employees.

. Available after hours for all company emergencies.
