Responsible for 6-10 warehouse and inventory associates, one
Inventory Supervisor, and up to 100+ personnel on the
production floor.
Daily responsibilities include all shipping and receiving
operations, co-ordination with Production to ensure picks are
in place to replenish production lines, report warehouse
capacities and cycle count results to corporate team members,
and set up operations at overflow warehouse as needed. Most
recently selected as a member of a start up team to implement
and train associates on a new WMS system.

Supervisor of day shift operations in a 1.3m sq ft
distribution center of non-powered lawn and garden tools.
Responsible for shipping, receiving, and inventory control.
Shipping to include all of US and all international
customers. Shipping and receiving of non-powered lawn and
garden tools, wheelbarrows, hose and hose accessories,
striking tools, and decorative plastic and foam flower pots
and planters.
Responsible for approximately 60 % of $1.5million avg. in
daily outbound shipments
Responsible for 73 full time associates and seasonal
temporary associates.

Major Projects
Implemented a new start up area within the DC, specific to
one product line.
Start up of a 200,000sq ft area dedicated to pots and
planters. Area was staffed by hand picked associates who were
the most versatile. Due to the compact area and strategic
product placement, productivity was improved by 30% or more
in most aspects of operation. License plate control was
implemented during move to improve inventory accuracy and
increase error free shipments to all customers.
Responsible as Training Champion, for updating the training
program and SOP manual, and creating a new hire training
packet to follow an associate the length of their employment
to provide consistency of processes across all shifts.
As the Inventory Control Champion, responsibilities included
supervising Inventory team across all shifts, inventory
accuracy goals in pieces and dollars, and planning of all
inventory related projects.

Most recent was a new start up operation in Ontario, Ca with
a 3rd party logistics operation for our west coast
distribution of Pots & Planters during Jan/Feb. 2007.
This project included one trip to get locations, strategies,
and pick lines set up, and a second trip to get operation
running. In the last few months after start up, I was the
main contact person for training and trouble shooting
forklift RF functions, WMS, customer service functions, and
inventory control functions.
