Warehousing
* General Manager-East Coast Distribution Center, Black Creek Ga.
2007-2008
Consolidated the operations of two warehouses in New York. Directly
involved in
the design of the warehouse for maximum labor efficiency and inventory
accuracy.
Responsible for a daily three shift operation with a staff of four
supervisors
and 150 employees that shipped 4K parcels daily to customers in both the
Retail
and Food Service sectors in both the United States and throughout the
world.
* Operations Manager Oneida Foodservice Warehouse 2005-2008
Responsible for the creation and set up of a full service warehouse
servicing
customers in the Hotel and Restaurant sectors and for the daily operation
of
three shifts. Staff consisted of three supervisors and 70 employees. Other
responsibilities included the management of user defined rules and
operations of
the Warehouse BOSS WMS and the planning for the start up and operation of a
new
distribution center in California.
* Manager of Remote Distribution and Public Warehousing 1998-2000
Oversaw the operation of two remote distribution centers in Tennessee and
California and was the liaison with 3PL providers in Wisconsin, North
Carolina,
Florida and California. Developed and monitored budgets for the remote
warehouses.
* Manager, Food Service Warehouse
1996-1998
Directly responsible for the day to day operation of this DC which included
twenty five employees engaged in shipping, receiving and value added
services.
Shipped $1M in customer orders per week.
* Manager, Northeast Distribution Center
1995-1996
Set up and managed this Distribution Center that serviced the Northeast
United
States. In charge of shipping, receiving and traffic operations. This DC
served as model for other remote facilities used by Oneida throughout the
country.
* Manager, Oneida Master Warehouse 1992-
1995
Directly responsible for twenty employees. Developed inventory management
procedures and cut shipping errors by seventy five percent.
* Supervisor, Packaging Department 1985-
1990
Supervised seventy five employees. Spearheaded an ergonomic program to
protect
against repetitive injuries which resulted in a 50 per cent decrease in
injuries
in the department. These programs were later instituted throughout the
entire
manufacturing facility.
