PROJECT DETAILS

1. Project Name: Websphere MQ .Net Client(Sept'09-till date)

Role : Delivery Lead

Brief Description:

The WMQ .Net clients are a set of Classes that enables .Net programmers

to write WMQ client Application in the .Net Framework . This comes along

with the WMQ base product and is a pre requisite for the the IBM

messaging Client for .Net (ie XMS ) and WebSphere MQ custom channel for

WCF.

The delivery team for this component is based out of ISL labs in

Bangalore .The team has complete ownership in Planning, Development,Testing and Integration with the overall MQ product and is currently

working on the MQ v7.1 release.

The team works closely with the WMQ development and test team in Hursley

for Strategy and the process management related activities, and needs to

closely work with the Strategist for XMS and WCF to understand the

requirements flowing into the WMQ .net from the dependent components.

Brief Description:

IBM messaging Client in short knows a XMS is a common client for the

Websphere product Mqseries, Message Broker and Websphere Application

written in C/C++ and .NET implementing the JMS specifications.

The Project is the Development of the above mentioned including

Strategy, Planning, Implementation and verification of the New

functions into the product along side imbibing Agile methodology into

the Product development Cycle to deliver those function originates

from and benefits the customer.

The Testing include Functional Verification, System verification, GUI,

Install testing and is 90% Automated in Customised Framework involving

Perl and Common functions written in C allowing test application to be

reusable across the supporting products.

3. Project Name: Websphere MQ Development and Test (June 05 - Oct 07)

Brief Description:

The WebSphere MQ (WMQ in short) is a Messaging engine, which

constitutes the backbone to connect Commercial IT system. It

facilitates Point to Point as well as the Publish subscribe messaging

across distributed platforms.

The project mentioned above was the Product development of the WMQ v7

where in we planned and delivered some of the many of the functions of

MQ v7 including JMS features in the Native C client of MQ along with a

new Publish -Subscribe mechanism in the MQ product. Product

development and testing was done in few major areas like Local Queue

manager, Intercommunication component, Security and JMS to name a few.

The project was executed in a distributed environment across IBM

development Labs in UK and India.

Responsibilities:

. Developing FV Testcases using C and Perl .

. Learning the new automation framework and porting Manual tests into

the automated framework.

. Function Verification Test lead for the Intercommunication

Component.

4. Project Name: IBM Directory Server Test project (Jan '02 to Aug'04)

Brief Description:

IBM Tivoli Directory Server is a powerful LDAP infrastructure that

provides a foundation for deploying comprehensive identity management

applications and advanced software architectures and uses DB2 at its

back end.

This was a distributed Project involved testing of Different

development versions of the IBM directory server in its development

cycle including Function verification, GUI, System Verification, Load

and Customer Scenario testing across geographies including Bangalore,

Pune and US.

The scope of testing also included interaction between the IBM product

and other LDAP products in the market, verification of the new

Functionalities added, Regression testing and Customer focussed

testing where we took inputs from the customer to simulate the

environment.

Responsibilities:

. Developing Automated and Manual testcases and executing the same.

. Learning and understand the competing Products in Marker like

Windows Active Directory,Sun One LDAP etc and testing its

interoperation with ITDS.

. Working with customer to understand their implementation of the

product and emulate a similar test condition in the development

environment.

. Project Planning & Work Allocation

5. Project Name: IBM Directory Integrator Test project (June '02 to Dec

'02)

Brief Description

The project involved travelling to US and doing a knowledge transition

on the product and testing from a team based in Germany and US from an

acquired company and to build the Product under IBM standards and

testing as per IBM quality requirement and to release in the product

the first IBM release of the product from offshore site in India.

The Product IBM Tivoli Directory Integrator Transforms moves and

synchronizes generic and identity data residing in heterogeneous

directories, databases, files, collaborative systems and applications,

with real-time automated updates to the authoritative data source.

Following which we were also require to built the test and development

team and infrastructure and do knowledge transfer and training to the

team in India.

The team was spread across Europe, India and US.

6. OS/2 FVT and SVT Testing (Jan'01 till Dec'01)

Brief Description :

Testing of the OS 2 Convenience pac included, understanding the Test

framework that included STAFF and also Manual recreation of the bug

fixes that went in to the Convenience pac and to verify the fixes.

It also included the doing Migration testing along with Regression

testing and also testing Different language version of the OS. The

test infrastructure was built along the project timeline and was

delivered on time.

. Responsible for submodules like Migration,Dialer tests etc for

regression and new test development.

7. IBM Web Browser Testing (May'00 till Dec '00)

Brief Description :

The IBM web Brower was the Netscape 6 equivalent for the OS/2

platform. The OS/2 WARP a very native web browser, which did not

contain any of the advanced features.

IBM Web browser product had all the new features that were a part of

the Netscape 6 and was made available on OS/2 hence required through

testing of all the features, including GUI and functionality testing.

The testing was mostly manual, my role mainly involved understanding

new features and suggesting any improvements, developing testcases to

test the new features, raising defects and following up the developers

to fix the same. This also involved checking if the unearth bugs were

also present on the Netscape 6 product and to report it to team

respectively.
