Human Resources Generalist (11/96 -2/09)
Managed the human resources function to support over 550 U.S based
employees in the LaFox corporate office, distribution center, manufacturing
facility, and regional field sales offices. Provided human resources
assistance and support to all non-U.S. employees.
Recruitment & Hiring - up to 100 positions annually. Interviewed and
screened candidates at all levels from exempt to hourly positions. Made
employment offers, managed the pre-employment process. Implemented a
formal background check and drug screening process which improved the
quality of the new hires. Used numerous sources (company intranet,
internal postings, employee referral bonus program, CareerBuilder and other
niche boards and networking) to significantly improve the cost per hire,
time to hire for new employees and employee turnover. .
Job Requisition Administration - developed and managed an Intranet tracking
system to assist senior management with tracking, analyzing and justifying
personnel requisitions for all new hires worldwide. Managed and tracked
all temporary and consultant personnel worldwide. The system resulted in a
better understanding of the real-time recruiting opportunities worldwide.
Managed all Government reporting - EEO /AAP Compliance, successfully passed
a desk audit with the Department of Labor in 2004, saving the company from
potential fines for non-compliance. Annually filed EEO-1 and Vets-100
reports. Responsible for developing and maintaining the company's annual
AAP.
Managed and tracked relocations of new and current employees worldwide.
Involved in the implementation of new relocation policy, and created a
preferred vendor list.

Workers Compensation Administrator - processed all claims. Investigated
all worked related injuries with employees and supervisors. Worked
directly with workers comp carrier on injury follow up and work
restrictions. Responsible for OHSA compliance and annually reporting.
Compensation Management - participated in salary surveys for market pricing
information for all position levels. Managed Corporate Salary
Administration Guide, wage & salary range development and updates.
Participated in annual budgeting process.
Performance Management - Managed the annual worldwide performance review
process. Approved domestic and international merit increases and
performance reviews. Updated international salary information in
PeopleSoft.
Provided counsel to all levels of management on numerous items, including,
change of status, performance reviews, salary administration, headcount
reports, personnel requisitions, conflict resolution, and policy
interpretations.
