PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
1995 - 2009 Vice President, Construction
Movie Gallery US Inc.
During over 13 years with Movie Gallery, experienced progressive advancement from
Construction Manager to Director and ultimately, Vice President in 2004. Held field
based and corporate office positions as required. Progressive responsibility from assigned
projects to five-state regional responsibility and, at the time of my separation, responsible
for all new store, remodel, relocation and FF&E repair and maintenance in a division
comprised of over 2500 retail locations in 29 states and two Canadian provinces.
Administrative and supervisory responsibilities for six Regional Construction Managers
based throughout the Eastern Division. Key contributions include:
•Developed and Administered National HVAC Preventative Maintenance Program.
•Lead recruitment and training program during departmental expansion, hiring and
training 13 Construction Managers from across the U.S. and Canada, effectively
tripling the field management team in under two years.
•Spearheaded new store prototype design and development team following major
acquisition.
•Lead construction team as Subject Matter Expert for Game Zone development and roll-
out, a 30 store effort installing "store within a store" concept to capture market
share in the growing gaming industry.
•Personally managed over 200 new store projects, approximately 75 remodel efforts and
more than 25 relocations.

Upon leaving the Army, worked part-time while pursuing graduate degree. Worked in a
program that paired Behavior Specialists with at-risk youths to teach and implement
behavior modification techniques and provide independent living instruction.
Soldier / Aeromedical Evacuation Officer (CPT/03 Aviator)
U.S. Army
Initial assignment as Medical Platoon Leader, Ft. Ord, CA. Responsible for the basic
medical care and record-keeping for a 500 soldier battalion. Directed the daily activities
and training of an 18 member platoon. Served as primary advisor to the Battalion
Commander on medical-related matters.
As an Aeromedical Evacuation Officer, Ft Rucker, AL and the Republic of Korea,
performed mission duties associated with air crash rescue and aeromedical evacuation for
military and civilian communities.
As an Aviation Medical Platoon Leader in South Korea, supervised the training and
deployment readiness of a 21 member platoon and five UH-60 (Blackhawk) aircraft. As
Assistant Operations Officer, responsible for the scheduling of 25 aircraft stationed
throughout the Republic of Korea.
Completed service assigned to the Army Aviation Aeromedical Research Laboratory. As
a Research Aviator, assisted in the development and implementation of mission-specific
aviation protocols with additional duty as an Instructor Pilot.
