2007 - Present

Plant Manager

Managed the operations and overall P&L performance for the Dust Filtration

business at the Bethune site consisting of thee major carding lines to

support a $20 million business. Staff included seven exempt associates

with total responsibility for 75 additional production associates.

o Effectively led the manufacturing team to reduce working capital by 48%

and exceeded operative cash flow targets in 2009.

o Led multiple continuous improvement teams using lean and six sigma

methodologies to reduce waste and increase machine uptime. Start-up

waste was reduced by over 25% on a major carding line.

o Managed and implemented the successful start-up of the Bethune Dust

Filtration plant after relocating equipment from a closing plant in

o Implemented a formalized nonwoven line changeover / cleaning procedure

that incorporated preventative maintenance activities and reduced overall

weekly downtime by 20%.

o Led fiber extrusion team to reduce line breaks by 15% and fiber waste by

10% through the use and application of lean techniques.

o Coordinated with the corporate project engineer for the installation and

start-up of a new nonwoven production line in January 07. The

installation was regarded as the "model" of future Freudenberg

facility organization.
