Profile:
I assure operational success and growth through the development,
integration and improvement of Supply Chain Management Systems through
leadership and collaboration with multi-functional entities. I have
extensive experience in both cellular and continuous process manufacturing
models. I also have cross functional experience in production, quality,
product development, human resources and financial auditing. Colleagues
recognize me for my skills in team leadership, problem solving, decision
making (as driven by data analysis or through deductive reasoning), hands-
on approach, and ability to establish and facilitate collaborative
relationships with both suppliers and customers.
Selected Accomplishments:
Integration and Implementation - Directed the development, augmentation and
integration of three materials organizations on both a site-specific and
global operational basis. Achieved and maintained cost reduction programs
in five Federal Signal materials departments in the Americas, Europe and
China.
Lean System Deployment - Successfully trained and implemented lean concepts
into three Lear facilities. During this time we were able to reduce
inventory on average of 28%, increase operational efficiency by 15%, reduce
premium freight by 82% and improve on time delivery to 99% at all
locations.
Developed Supplier Qualification, Rating, and Management processes -
Developed supplier guidelines, supplier assessments and on site audits for
training of the global supply chain; these process improvements resulted in
reducing costs and improving quality and on time delivery.
Cost reductions - Lead several Kaizen events that achieved reduction in
costs. The most successful of these events lead to one million dollars of
freight savings. This resulted in 51 milk runs being reduced to 38 along
with pickup times and dates were shifted to accommodate lean inventories.
