Job Duties Work and handle a variety of FOIA requests, which gives
individuals the opportunity obtain access to federal agency records.
Receive a variety of requests from individuals ranging from private
citizens to prisoners. I am responsible for fulfilling their request and
explaining why if it cannot be fulfilled. All individuals coming in wanting
information on a 3rd party person, are all subject to presenting to us a
privacy waiver or proof of death. Work on a variety of appeals for the
Litigation Department. I am responsible for opening the appeal and handling
it or opening and closing if results of the appeal are present. Work on a
variety of informant files and personnel files. Many of the files I receive
are sometimes onboard applicants or out service. If the applicant is
currently on board, the applicants case with their file in it must be
placed on a lock. I work on a variety of files that are currently pending
and are not subject to being released under no circumstances. If a file is
usually pending, I usually contact the Special Agent in charge and notify
the seriousness of this subject matter. Duties:

be remanded.

Just Received the Eagle Eye Award from the Director for handling release
packages in a timely manner and locating errors and emailing the
appropriate people assigned to them for correction before its release. Help
many of my co-workers with a variety of administrative jobs and their
assigned cases. Review files for any highly Top Secret Information before
its scanned into the system. When Top Secret information is located, the
Classification Unit has to notified so it can be declassified. Retrieve
mail from the mail room and give any specified mail to the appropriate
individuals.

With guidance I prioritized, scheduled, and planned my own work activities
to ensure all tasks were completed in a timely manner. Kept abreast of all
the changes made in processing guidelines, solved routine problems and
correctly interpreted court decisions. Handled all the print ques for
employees who have departed the Unit and current employees who were on
leave. I ensured the correct pages matched the letter. Located several
discrepancies that required me to advise the appropriate personnel to
correct the issue. Every month I collected the mail from the mail room for
the two WPU's and dispensed accordingly. Handled some 1st and 3rd party
unperfected letters. With this, I determined the information did not
contain DOB, perjury statement and/or notarized authorization or proof of
death. Opened the request in FDPS system by scanning the request letter, QC
and catalog. I created the appropriate correspondence with very few
corrections. Assisted with the Reading Room Project by preparing a
comprehensive list of all the files on each CD. The project was designed to
make our Reading Room current by removing files that had been destroyed,
transferred to NARA or where the entire files was not available through the
Reading Room.

Completed an Internship at the Probation, Parole and Pardon Services in
downtown Spartanburg, SC
My tasks included: offender intake to and from the court system, helping
out with drug exams, observing guilty pleas bond hearings, preliminary
hearings, arraingments. I mailed payments out to offenders behind on their
supervision, court, or any fines, and created a listing of Registered Sex
Offenders in Spartanburg county. Worked with an investigator at the agency,
dealing with offenders who were incarcerated and were about to become
released. The investigator and I examined the type of living environment
the offender will be relocating to and if he or she will be residing with
anyone. Also assisted the court agents, with files on offenders who were
about to start their sentence in prison and needed a file created for them
at the Probation and Parole upon release when their term is completed.
Proofread an agent manual workbook that was designed for new agents
entering the agency. I previewed and checked the workbook for grammatical
errors and added any corrections if needed. Communicated with probation
officers, investigator, court-officials, offenders, agent in charge and
attorney's on a daily basis. I observed guilty pleas and probation and
parole violations in the courthouse. The court hearings were very
confidential. Filed offender records in the computer database, which was to
remain confidential. Computed jail sheets into the computer system to

For the ride along, I went to approximately 4 destinations with the officer
that day. By doing the ride along, it allowed me to see how an officer
functions on a day to day basis. I Also attended a Victims Witness
Assistance Programs held in downtown Spartanburg, SC. The monthly program
was held in one of the buildings near the City Hall. For the program,
everyone was gathered around a circle and discussed the different
situations that happened in their lives. After the program, we stood up and
