BRIGHT INNOVATION Pittsburgh PA Project Manager (August 2006 to Present)
Manage several products and clients, largest client being Alcoa Aluminum. Responsible for
multiple design projects directed toward a strategic plan to help Alcoa break into the consumer
electronics (CE) market. Identify opportunities where Alcoa materials and technology could
enhance CE products, define and initiate new projects that leverage technical experts to innovate
and develop new processes. Build a rapport and maintain communication with OEMs, including
designers, contract manufacturers, and supply chain. Maintain alignment of the project scope and
make design recommendations to enhance the effectiveness of the strategic plan, and to position
Alcoa as an industry leader. Develop content for the CE website and educational webinars for
designers with the Alcoa MARCOM (Marketing and Communications) team. Design packaging
and collateral for Asia sales and marketing teams.
Execute marketing plans for Bright Innovation branding and social media marketing. Foster
community outreach projects and relationships with local design schools Carnegie Mellon
University and the Art Institute of Pittsburgh.
APPLE Pittsburgh PA User Research Intern (May 2006 to August 2006)
Worked on an interdisciplinary team to research and develop content for the iWork '08 application
suite. Identified user needs, developed content and designed templates for Numbers 08.
RAY-MIN SHOULDERWARE Pittsburgh PA Founding Partner/Designer (April 2003 to Present)
Founded designer handbag business that specializes in custom and one of a kind designs.
Products have been exhibited at numerous galleries and national shows, and are sold in
boutiques throughout the US.
RAYTHEON Marlboro MA Mechanical Engineer II (June 2000 to August 2005)
Designed and modeled equipment using Pro Engineer software. Generated site terminal
installations in AutoCAD. Created and revised technical drawings from mechanical hardware
assemblies. Prepared product specifications and parts lists. Involved in the failure analysis of
various installed components. Responsible for writing and organizing documented procedures that
have been used for set-up and testing of equipment. Qualified as a Raytheon Six Sigma
Specialist.
ALTITUDE INC. Somerville MA Student Co-op (January 2000 to June 2000) Worked closely
with industrial designer, creating and revising drawings and models for internet
phones. Researched materials and analyzed their properties and costs to determine the best
choice for new product designs.
