January 07- current:
Formed independent consulting firm (I.V. Solutions) focusing on
interventions for quick waste reductions and business growth and
development. Customers included MetoKote Corporation, and several small
businesses in the local Ohio area. Currently working with two start ups
supporting and advising on business development and strategies.
Just Like Home Child Care and Learning Center - 06- current - Start up of
independent business. Offer preschool and alternative child care for
families who do not work traditional hours. Opened preschool in 2006,
infant /toddler center in 2007. On track to meet 5 year plan in 4 years.

MetoKote corp. is a coatings company sold by private owners to JP
Morgan/Chase several years ago. It is a company built on family tradition
and values (annual earnings are $250m)
*Developed and implemented business strategies to standardize process's
globally to strengthen and secure our position in the international market
*Developed and implemented MPSP (problem solving process) based on lean
principles using six sigma methodologies, for use at all levels, and to
share with our customers.
*Worked closely with plants in identifying opportunities for quick change
over and more effectively managing mix issues, product changes, shipping
issues and packaging opportunities-focusing on supply chain, inventory
turns, optimizing packaging as well as developing inventory tracking system
that we could integrate with our customers.
*Developed Lead to launch process standardizing globally all launches

Mapped out a future state proposal to reduce that waste with time lines and

> Initiated the first team based area within Ford Facility
(Lorain, Ohio) -developed and taught continuous
improvement tools and process's and engaged the teams in
problem solving via current/future state mapping and other
lean tools.. We improved our quality by 32%, cost by 28% and
productivity by 19%.
> Selected to be the first Lean Manufacturing manager within
Ford Motor Company- Led the first major launch (Chicago
Assembly) using Lean tools and process's. We became the model
for the company.
> Won JD Power award for product line four times in 6 years
> Created a more responsive and customer driven organization,
increasing total enterprise performance 48% over seven year
period.
> Successfully closed a major facility exceeding all metrics.
Effectively placed 100% salary employees and 82 % hourly.
Annual employee satisfaction survey results improved during
this time (best in company). This has never happened nor has
it been repeated.
> Increased productivity by implementing lean strategies and
six sigma tools for ten consecutive years, savings of over
100 million dollars.
> Developed and marketed key concepts that became company best
practices (new technology integrated with manufacturing
principles and lean concepts) Lead over 200 Kaizan events

My job was to help the UAW understand lean concepts and to
obtain their agreement to allow us to use these tools to move

inventory controls and product delivery by 20%. Worked with
