CAREER HISTORY
WOLVERINE WORLD WIDE, INC., Rockford, Michigan 2001 - 2009
Apparel and footwear manufacturing.
Senior Business Analyst
Developed and supported systems for order fulfillment specializing in
transportation management (TMS). Maintained carrier rates.
. Reduced keying and compliance errors for Department of Defense (DoD)
orders by 75%. This was accomplished by leading a project to implement
RFID functionality in a distribution center and creating new interactive
RPG programs to allow for entry of specific data needed for shipments to
the DoD.
. To comply with major customer's dynamic routing requirements and thus
avoid significant chargeback costs, created a process, using RPG, to pass
routing numbers between the customer and PkMS by utilizing EDI dynamic
routing transactions (753- outbound and 754 - inbound).
. To reduce shipping costs by over $100,000 per year, integrated Code1Plus
into existing RPG interface programs reducing charge backs and accurately
assessing surcharges for residential shipments.
. Reduced the time needed for the year-end rollover of blanket purchase
orders by one half by modifying a homegrown raw material procurement
system to reduce data entry and maintenance and improve data integrity.
. In order to allow international FedEx shipments weighing over 2500 pounds
to be processed properly through customs, modified Manhattan Associates'
warehouse management system by adding a new screen to allow input of the
SED number needed to complete the transaction data.
. Furnished support of EDI systems utilizing TrustedLink software. Set up
new invoice (810), purchase order (850), and notice of shipment (856)
transactions according to customer's specifications.
. Avoided chargeback costs by providing ongoing programming support for
interfaces involving flat files, SAP, IBM I-Series and FTP. Made
enhancements to data passing between systems to meet ever-changing
requirements of the customers.
. Supplied sole support for returns application in SAP, utilizing the GuiXT
design tool from Synactive. This process reduced returns entry from ten
screens to two, reducing keying errors and improving efficiency and data
integrity.
. Reconciled inventory daily between PkMS, SAP and third party distribution
centers. Tracked and resolved inventory discrepancies to the individual
item, eliminating the need for yearly physical inventories.
. Member of implementation and system upgrade teams for WMS. Tasks
included leading sub-teams and training end users. Converted two
different warehouse management systems to PkMS, providing uniformity and
improving warehouse processes. The upgrade allowed for use of new
functionality and more efficient warehouse operations. All projects
were successfully completed on or ahead of schedule.
