I am responding to a career posting for a project manager position. With
more than 10 years of experience as a project manager/consultant for large
software and services company and having a diverse successful project
portfolio, I am confident I have the qualifications to fulfill your
requirements. As a manager, consultant and educator by trade, I have
developed the skills to address the different responsibilities of a project
manager from leadership to administration to collaboration.
I was responsible and successfully implementing a client/server based MRP
software product in several large corporations. In addition, I have worked
closely with various IBM specialists under IBM's Business Partner Program
to ensure overall achievement project goals. More recently, I was the
project manager for a large multi-faceted construction project and
currently I am a consultant for business evaluation services. In these
positions I developed talents in providing project management, large-scale
deployment of technology, teaching/training techniques, educational
material development and presentations to top-level, management, mid-level
management and end-users.
From managing numerous projects, I have learned creative thinking and
problem solving techniques to overcome barriers and improve team
communication. Additionally, with my experience I have developed "Best
Practices" for implementations/training and applied "Best Practices
Principles" in the field. I have worked through product life cycles and
methods for rapid deployment. With the advent of new screen capture/video
tools, blogs, web2, business networks the potential to improve
productivity, provide better quality service, increase communication and
dissemination of information for support of projects/training efforts has
come to fruition,
Through my career in software, engineering other professional service
industries, I have honed my talents and strengthen my organizational skills
to allow me to effectively managing multiple projects/tasks. I am
proficient in the use of many software applications to aid my project

Responsibilities: as a Project Manager I helped lead the
development team from conception through completion of a golf
course (18-holes) and a portion of the infrastructure and
homesites (284 units) for a golf community. I was instrumental
in developing the project plan and intimate with the execution
of the construction components of the project.
Worked with and directed the engineering firms engaged for site
planning, design specifications and final drawings, and
communicated with and acted as a liaison with government
agencies on permitting and the development agreement.

Partner Responsibilities: managed large system implementation projects
for the MRP software product by Logility, independently and as
part of a team of vendors, ensured the proper
coordination/execution of each project tasks throughout the
various process stages (initialization, planning, executing,
controlling and closing as well as maintaining on-going support
responsibilities). The primary component of the implementation
project was the training and education. I created the needs and
requirements assessment plan to address the level and depth to
facilitate this task along with leading the team and at times
delivering the different courses.
