reaction and distillation units I have learned to work as a team as well as relying on my

self sufficiency. The last 5 years I have spent my time as a supervisor directing the plant

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Taminco Chemicals Inc.

Riverview, MI

Shift Supervisor 2007-2009

(The Riverview site was formerly known as Arkema, Inc, which was a subsidiary

of Total Petroleum)

Supervise 10 to 15 operators in the production, analyzing, and shipment of industrial and

agricultural products on a rotating work schedule.

• Conduct daily safety talks and hold weekly safety meetings for plant staff.

• Provide work direction and production goals to operations staff

• Conduct and assess training for existing operators and new hires.

• Generate and/or revise Standard Operating Procedures for plant operators.

• Entered and review samples and work orders using SAP computer system.

• Qualified in Honeywell DCS, Wonderware, and Delta V process control

systems

• Troubleshoot process/call in appropriate skilled tradesmen for necessary repairs.

• Work with all levels of supervision/engineering to plan process de-

bottlenecking.

Acted on behalf of plant manager on off shifts to facilitate the safe operations of a large

chemical plant. Directed 15 operators, lab technician, and several maintenance personnel

to run plant efficiently.

• Conduct daily tool box safety talks/monthly shift safety meetings

• Consult with production manager for work direction and production goals

• Directed plant operations to work efficiently and safely on a 24 hour schedule

• Used LIM’s review samples and make operation decisions.

• Approved all incoming and out going material for in plant use or shipment.

• Uncovered the source of waste formation in processing and implemented an

improved method

• Directed and counseled all employees on plant policies including written

warnings

• Wrote and approved all maintenance work orders using system.

• Sent daily operation memo’s using Lotus Notes.
