08/2006 to present: Safety Manager, Clow Water Systems, McWane Corp., Iron Ductile Foundry.

Responsible for all aspects of health and safety to include but not limited to; risk management,

EH&S auditing, Industrial Hygiene, air sampling, lock-out-tag-out programs, confined spaces,

workers compensations, and safety training. Directly manage seven personnel to include; plant

nurse, workers compensation clerk, and five safety personnel.

09/2003 to 08/2006: Active Duty, U.S. Marine Corps: Served as Senior Military Safety &

Occupational Health Specialist, Marine Corps Logistics Base Barstow, CA. I managed and

administered 10 safety and occupational health programs, my primary focus is the elimination or

minimization of human injury and property and productivity losses, caused by harmful contact

incidents, through the design of effective management policies, programs, or practices. I planed,

developed, organized, administered, evaluated, and coordinated a comprehensive safety and

occupational health program for all areas of Marine Corp Base Logistics (2000 + employees)

base engaged in diverse high risk operations and functions that are common to industrial,

commercial, transportation, warehousing and construction situations (multi-site location).

Received the Marine Corps Superior Achievement in Safety Award (2005)

8/02 to 8/03: Active Duty, U.S. Marine Corps, Full time student University of Maryland. One of

three Marines selected in the safety discipline for the Staff Non-Commissioned Officer Degree

Completion Program. This program is designed to allow senior enlisted Marines to gain their

four-year college degree and subsequently serve in areas that require such a degree.

12/99 to 07/02: Active Duty, U.S. Marine Corps & Department of State, Marine Security Guard

Detachment Commander for two American Embassy’s in Bangkok, Thailand & Nicosia, Cyprus:

Managed 35 Marines who secured American Embassy’s overseas against fire, theft, vandalism,

and illegal entry, that performed a combination of security related duties.

10/86 to 11/99: Active Duty, U.S. Marine Corps, Served as Safety Officer performing safety

analyses of data to identify trends and hazard reduction. Conducting inspections of facilities,

equipment, material and operations to identify hazards and prepare inspection reports, which

recommend corrective measures. Developed and maintained abetment programs for identified

hazards. Evaluated levels of risk for determining hazards corrective priorities. Responsible for

Health and Safety audits for 1.2 million gallon bulk petroleum storage, flight line and dispensing

facility, and office working environments. Conducted reviews of occupational safety

discrepancies to determine root cause analyses, and documents to ensure corrective action is

taken.
