OBJECTIVE: To seek and obtain employment within the field of Human

EXPERIENCE:
2007 COMMUNITY TUTORING and AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM
Developed and coordinated after school program that
provided tutoring in general education and basic computer
skills for developmentally slow and programmatic 6-12
audiences ranging in ages from 7 - 12 years old.

RESIDENTIAL SUPERVISOR
Responsible for all scheduling of assigned staff and reviewing all
lodge reports, charts of Homeless clients with mental
disabilities residing at residential lodges. Conducted all
fire drills and training of assigned staff to insure
compliance to OMH policies, and provided daily reports to
HUD Manager and program CEO.
1995 - 2006 VOLUNTEER OF AMERICA CHARLES H. MEN SHELTER
PROGRAM COORDINATOR CGS ANNEX PROGRAM
Coordinated Annex Program designed to find suitable employment and
housing for 350 clients assigned to the Harlem and Flushing
YMCA and the Fortune Academy. Supervised all assigned
staff to insure that adequate Social Service functions were
provided so that program expectations were met during the
12 months of program participation.
2002 SHIFT SUPERVISOR
PRINICIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Supervise assigned personnel (direct care and case
managers) working the shift.
2. Supervise safety and incident management with
contracted security guards as applicable.
3. Supervise delivery of daily program services
including case management, intake (assessment of all
new clients), car fare distribution, correlation of
all monthly static's and data to be submitted to
administrative staff and DHS, bed assignments,
collecting daily census information.
4. Supervise facility maintenance and cleaning staff on
evening, night, holidays and weekend shifts as
assigned.
5. Manage community relations and communicate with
relevant authorities as needed.
6. Perform related tasks needed.

1. Monitor and assure that clients receive services appropriate in
scope and professional in content and in accordance
with current VOA policies and procedure.

applicants for staff, Reassign staff as
required, Evaluate Assistant Team Leaders,

reports, Conduct hearings for clients who wish
to appeal a decision

clients, Birth Certificates, Requests for money orders,
Supply requests, Appropriateness of
PBT referrals
5. Assure that Assessments and Recertification are completed in a
timely manner
6. Ensure that SCIMS information is updated as needed
7. Assure that charts audits are conducted
8. Assure that all monthly on-site visits are coordinated
9. Act as the direct representative of the Team
Coordinator and will therefore be expected to report
to the Associate Director Program Services of CGS any
and all violations of the rules and regulations of
the men's shelter complex
10. Complete a daily Team Leader's report

intake, have a meal ticket, a bed assignment, and a
locker and are issued linen and toiletries

clothing) of each client
3. Supervise client participation in their daily routine,
adherence to rules and observance of client's rights
as specified by Volunteer of America and other
appropriate agencies
4. De-escalate conflicts among clients through non-violent
intervention
5. Report incidents involving client behavior, violation of rules,
and criminal activities promptly to Team Leader and
submit a written incident report
6. Interview clients to evaluate and individualize their immediate
needs and gather background information for
development of a psychosocial assessment and
referrals
