Senior Project Manager, Allocation and Replenishment systems
Managed two teams of programmers and business analysts to support Arthur
Allocation, E3 Replenishment and SPI (Seasonal Profiling) systems for
Dick's Sporting Goods and Golf Galaxy on iSeries, Unix and Windows
platforms. Coordinated with vendors and contractors for system upgrades and
support.
Key Achievements:
. Managed the resources and budget for approximately 10 releases for each
of the Allocations and Replenishment systems per year. The releases
provided new functionality to meet business initiatives, adherence to
security and infrastructure changes, automated monitoring, and
performance tuning to promote scalability and support company growth as
they continued to add stores. Some examples are:
o Interfaced Logistics information and new store plans from the
Oracle data warehouse and SQL Server databases to JDA Arthur
Allocation.
o Implemented Planalytics business weather intelligence to improve
inventory control and distribution.
o Upgraded Arthur Allocations to version 7.6.1.2. This project
required coordinating with the iSeries, desktop engineering and
Oracle database infrastructure departments. In addition, it
required purchasing and replacing PCs for 120 users to meet
application hardware and software requirements and creation of a
new BCAC client package for rollout and back out.
o Upgrade projects for E3 Replenishment and SPI were also initiated.
o Performance-tuning improvements to reduce batch processing time to
increase system availability to the business.
o Implemented custom code to support the DSG web site hosted by GSI.
Modified applications to accommodate GSI specific items and
purchase orders. Also created direct vendor to store purchase
orders to bypass DSG distribution centers.
o Managed the migration of these applications to new iSeries, Unix
and SAN hardware for the data center move to the new corporate
headquarters.
. A service level objective of 99.5% system availability was met or
exceeded for all of the applications.

Promoted to management position on 3/06 to recruit, train and supervise a

Responsible for all systems for two call centers totaling approximately 500
representatives, including critical order entry, telephony, IVR and
scheduling. Responsible for e-commerce and catalog orders fulfillment and
shipping systems for two distribution centers. Collaborated with client
service leaders for both brands over six physical locations to determine
goals and priorities. Overall, the department supported approximately 30
custom-built or package-based applications across multiple platforms,
including 45 Windows servers, IBM mainframe and AS/400 using VB. Net, ASP
.net, XML, SQL Server 2000, SQL Server 2005, Websphere, Cobol, DB2, CICS
and RPG/LE Managed approximately 10 development/release projects per year.
