POSITION OBJECTIVE
Senior Analyst/Programmer/Trainer
Programmer/Analyst - Sherwood Valve, LLC 5/09 to Present
2200 N. Main Street
Washington, Pennsylvania
I have been supporting the JD Edwards World Software using RPG, SDA, PDM,
CLP, and SQL on the iSeries (AS/400) with some support of the DCLINK bar
code scanners and TL Ashford Bar Code software. This includes our
Washington, PA and Cleveland, OH plants here in the USA as well as a
separate Taylor-Wharton plant in Slovakia. I work with people at all
levels of management as well as people on the shop floor to insure projects
are defined and completed properly. In addition, I have been assisting our
corporate infrastructure team with the devices at the Washington plant, due
to staff reductions in that area.
Contract Programmer - Professional Search Group, Inc. 3/06 to 10/08
3493 N. 750 E.
Avilla, Indiana
I worked as a contract programmer with clients using JBA or JD Edwards
Software using RPG, SDA, PDM, CLP, and SQL on the iSeries (AS/400). This
includes working with people at all levels of management to insure their
needs were met. In addition, I have been responsible for maintaining
system backups, user security, device descriptions, and connecting remote
devices. I have also coordinated adding and changing EDI customers with
the VAN software vendor. My last JD Edwards project was to create a
routine that took a vendor supplied material usage file and create the
necessary Purchase Orders, create/update inventory and receiver
transactions, create/update the A/P Vouchers, and create the related G/L
transactions as if this had all been entered manually, which will save them
days of manual entry.
Programmer/Software - Patrick Industries, Inc. 9/01 to
07/05
Specialist 1800 South 14th Street
Elkhart, Indiana
I began creating and modifying computer programs using the JD Edwards tools
to support various activities at Patrick Industries which has both
Manufacturing and Distribution plants nationwide. More recently, I have
assisted with training people at the plants and have trained several
salesmen to use the iSeries and JDE software. I also visited 11 branches
and did full Business Process Reviews for them to determine how they were
using the system. I also worked with the DCLINK bar code software and
installed a newer release to the iSeries. I was responsible for
implementing the Configurator Module including testing it from Order Entry
through Invoicing. A few other accomplishments would be Bar Coded Pallet
Labels/Sheets that receive input via the bar code readers, an Item Master
Audit History, a routine to download work order information to the
automated Schelling saws in the plants, and an automated download file to
be e-mailed to the NACM Credit reporting agency. I have also received
internal training for ROBOT software, which is used to schedule nightly
processes.
Senior Business Consultant - CJ Software Solutions, LLC 7/99 to 9/01
57130 Wilbur Hill Road
Dowagiac, Michigan
This was my consulting business and I continued consulting and client site
training for BLIS-400 software clients as well as designing and developing
modifications to meet their needs beyond what the standard system provided.
I used RPG IV, RPG ILE, SQL, Open Query file, etc on the AS/400. Some of
the many ways I have helped these clients achieve greater utilization of
their BLIS-400 software include consulting and training on scheduling and
inventory control issues, consulting and programming related to order
processing, designing and programming enhanced & incentive payroll systems,
enhanced cost sheets & reports, embedding pictures within comments on shop
cards, brinell reading history systems, and many more.
Senior Business Consultant - B & L Information Systems 8/86 to 7/99
4707 Rambo Road
Bridgman, Michigan
My most recent responsibilities were to troubleshoot problems my clients
were having while using the BLIS-400 software, which is a complete
manufacturing software package for foundries, die casters, and plastics
companies on the AS/400. Typically, I was assigned to high profile
clients. If the standard system did not meet the clients needs, I designed
modifications for them. I dealt with upper management and entry clerks
from production to accounting. I also taught the Advanced Scheduling class
at the B & L office and classes for various other modules at client sites.
While at B & L, I held several positions from Programmer Analyst to
Assistant Manager. I was instrumental in the design and development of the
current B & L System on the AS/400 utilizing database and structured RPG IV
programming techniques. I am familiar with RPG IV, DDS, CLs, Subfiles,
SQL, and Query. I also assisted other analysts, consultants, and
programmers with their problems with clients and projects. Other
responsibilities included maintaining the AS/400 and keeping current with
the operating system, installing PTFs, etc.
MIS Supervisor - Sheller-Globe 8/84 to 8/86

responsibilities were to oversee the data entry functions, maintain all
computer equipment in-house, and act as a liaison between our local users
and the corporate office staff in Toledo, Ohio. This was a new opening of
an old plant and I was responsible to install the corporate systems in-
house. I also developed and installed a traceability system, labor system,

were to maintain the existing systems as well as develop new systems. IBM
MAPICS systems installed were General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts
Receivable, Payroll, Inventory Management, and Product Data Management. It
was necessary for me to modify the Inventory Management module. I also
developed an in-house Order Processing System which included Order Entry,
Invoicing, Sales Analysis, Scheduling, and Manufacturing/Shop Order
generation. A stand-alone Cost System and Labor Reporting System were also
written and installed.
