WORK EXPERIENCE
Night Supervisor
June 2002 - present
SAM'S Club/ Wal-Mart Clarksburg, WV
Wholesale
I have worked for SAM's Club ever since I graduated high school. I started as a cart
attendant, and gradually moved my way up to supervisor.
I was employed at SAM'S Club in 2002 as a cart attendant. After a year, I was given the
opportunity to move inside as a grocery stocker/zoner and a cashier. There I expanded my
skills to visually represent merchandise.
My next advancement was given to me over half a year of being a stocker. I moved to the
produce section. Work was at a quicker pace and required proper sanitation practices. It
was a great learning experience.
I then wanted to move to full time. Since I was going to college, I had to go to full time at
night. With over a year experience in Produce, I felt it was time for a change. I moved to
Freezer/Cooler department on third shift. During my short period in the freezers, I was
interviewed to be the night supervisor, which is my current position. My people skills
improved vastly, and I have a great understanding of privacy and policy. As well as
improving supervisory skills, I worked with the receiving department to help gain
knowledge in the club inventory.
I am a well trusted individual who always wants to teach, and will never turn down a
chance to learn. Throughout my job at SAM'S Club, I have maintained an exceptional
attendance record. My discipline is a result of my ambition of always wanting to succeed,
learn, and never miss an opportunity to improve myself.
EDUCATION
Bachelor's Degree, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering Technician,
8 2002 - 12 2006
Fairmont State University Fairmont, WV
I originally had trouble decided what I wanted to study for a possible career. I started out
in the computer science field. Working with software development using C++.
Meanwhile, I was taking several courses in Information Technology. Some of the classes
were Basic Networking, Intermediate Networking, and Advanced Routing and Switching.
With all classes I had been taking, math was an important basis for it all. Math contained
the fundamental theories and laws that are given in computer science. To make
programming easier, I took all mathematical courses I could. Since math was enjoyable to
me, I decided to earn a bachelors degree in math.
I took electrical engineering into consideration as a minor. Since I loved math, I found, it
was quite easy. I was able to work with printed circuits boards, and all of the components
that are associated. I designed circuits, using the math, and built them to perform certain
functions. It was quite an honorable result to see your creating working flawlessly.
High School,
8 1998 - 5 2002
Philip Barbour High School Philippi, WV
During high school, I took many classes in our tech building. I had training with
Microsoft Office applications, desktop publishing, keyboarding, and also accounting
courses. As a result of completing those courses, upon graduation, I was given a
certification in business.
Every new program helped increase my interest and my knowledge with computers. The
class that interested me the most was Aries A+ Technology. It was a hands on course
involving the destruction and construction of computers, as well as its history. This is
where the basics of my electrical, and programming interests derived.
Also throughout high school, I took advanced art classes. I enjoyed drawing and painting
using mixed media. I developed a love for art, mainly because it's an opportunity to be as
meticulous and precise as I desire and so many stories can be told with it. Your art tells a
story about life, from your perspective.

HONORS & AWARDS
I was nominated to attend Boys State summer camp. It is a camp, for high school Juniors,
that represents our states government. Each person runs a campaign and gets elected for a
political position. I served in the House of Representatives, where we passed several
'laws' for the campus our camp was held. It was an insight to how and what the
procedures are for our legislative system.
I graduated with honors in high school.
