- Facilities Manager

Full operating responsibility for 850-ton oxygen and nitrogen air

separation plant, strategically supplying gas to industrial customers in

the Southeast. Focused operations on ensuring maximum capacity and

flexibility to supply customer needs. Successfully negotiated new labor

contract, paving the way for improved productivity and flexibility by

modifying job responsibilities and flexibility. Trained as Process Owner in

smaller facilities in Florida and California. Produced four million

gallons of adhesives and coatings yearly, representing $125M in sales.

Managed production, quality, engineering, maintenance, procurement,

materials, distribution, safety, health and environmental operations.

Controlled $65M budget. Supervised 210.

Revenue Generation:

. Improved productivity 20% while cutting inventory and expense 15% via

Lean Manufacturing. Reengineered a disorganized inventory system.

Determined appropriate inventory by demand and not as an arbitrarily

set target. Generated a demand history-based forecast that established

reorder quantities and trigger points. Freed working capital and

slashed scrap and waste that had resulted from unnecessary raw

material shelf life expirations.

. Introduced Kanban principles and procedures, reduced static inventory

and unified the entire production chain. Instituted the use of Kanban

cards to designate work at each work center by enabling sales demand

to pull inventory into production as needed. Clarified cycle hours and
