. Served in a high visibility, fast-paced, and time sensitive
environment, providing on a daily basis, guidance and assistance to
Casualty Assistance Centers, Casualty Notification Officers, and
Casualty Assistance Officers during notification and assistance to
surviving family members.

disclosure.
As a dual case manager, (Casualty and Mortuary Affairs) performed a
variety of complex duties including reviewing, analyzing and reporting
notifications, verification of benefits and entitlements, family
travel, shipping and interment of remains, rendering of honors, fully
capable of handling multi-tasking.
. Worked closely with decision-makers and others on legal and policy
issues relating to the FOIA and the Privacy Act. Responsible for
gathering information in order to confirm entitlements and benefits
for survivors.
. Provided guidance pertaining to benefit claims prior to final
settlement; provided direction, continuity and guidance to General
Staff, major subordinate commands, Reserves, and National Guard
agencies
. Ensured that all facets of casualty assistance and mortuary benefits
are applied and implemented in accordance with regulatory and DOD
guidance.
. Assisted in the establishment of local policy concerning funeral
details entitlements and casualty operations
. Established a process to ensure burial honors and entitlements are
provided to all veterans
. Served as a liaison officer with the Veterans Affairs, the Defense
Finance and Accounting Service, Military Pay Adjudication Section, as
well as other agencies such as Thrift Savings Plan, Saving Bond,
DEERS, and GI Bill
