I manage the packaging supply chain for 42 plants in 17 countries, with a
current buy of over $35,000,000. I determine all pack quantities and
delivery systems in conjunction with my customers and suppliers.
. Through an aggressive density increase initiative, I have created real
cost saving in excess of $3,000,000 in actual packaging costs and over
$10,000,000 when shipping costs are included, at no added costs to us.
. Lead a cross functional team that has reviewed plants in Asia, North
America, Europe and South America consolidating processes, inventory
control, outside warehouses, internal work in process and have driven
an additional $12,000,000 in cost savings in the short time I have
been there.

Responsibilities included the review of the total cost of the supply chain
to determine whether returnables or expendable packaging should be used. I
was responsible for the design of all returnable packaging for the launch
of the 2010 Camaro program at Oshawa, Ontario, and the Traverse Mini Van at
Springhill, Tennessee. This includes concept design, sampling, and signoff,
placing of orders, testing and implementation of returnable packaging. I
worked with the suppliers and the plants to integrate standardized material
handling, packaging design, ergonomic and costing methods.
October 2006-July 2007

I was responsible for the all packaging used in 7 plants, 6 plants in the
United States and 1 in China. I improved both the incoming and out going
supply chain. I coordinated all the finished goods, back up and work in
process packaging design quoting and start up. I dealt directly with
various customers on all packaging concerns. I have developed and
implemented new procedures on packaging approvals so manufacturing, sales,
purchasing and the customer all have buy in to the final pack. I dealt with
an even split between returnable and expendable packaging. My main goal was
to standardize packaging processes and designs that could work at all of my
plants. My total packaging spend was in excess of $18,000,000. I led a
project that condensed our corrugated supplier base from 8 suppliers to 1
supplier.

Responsibilities include design, purchasing and implementation of new
packaging for new business. I am in charge of reviewing and updating of
current packaging for all 8 plants. Negotiate all pricing and sourcing of
packaging materials. Materials include corrugated boxes, wood pallets,
foam, plastic, metal racks. I worked on developing the in flow and out flow
of materials to make sure the most cost effective mode was being used.
Current purchases in excess of $10,000,000 annually. We currently are
packaging metal stampings, large modules, and various aftermarket products.
Coordinate all finish goods and work in process material handling methods.

functions. I was in charge of the design and implementation of packaging
for over 2500 different parts. I am in charge of designing returnable metal

used, paper, foam, plastic, metal and wood. Responsible for continuing cost
saving programs by negotiating with current vendors. I designed, over saw
the installation of various packaging machinery as we grew the business.
