Operating System Semester Project
• Language: C++
Create a simple modern operating system with memory management, multithreading, and user
interaction. Command line interface allows commands to be inputted by the user and interpreted by the
operating system shell. User has access to the file system through the shell and is able to execute
programs. Virtual Paging allows multiple programs to be allocated resources and run concurrently.
Software Engineering Semester Project
• Language: Ruby on Rails
Create an online web site where users can upload and download files. The uploaded software is given a
dedicated page with a picture, details, and download link. Users are separated into 3 tiers, general user,
developer, and admin, each with different levels of access to the site. Users can rate and comment the
software they download. Admins maintain the site, authenticating developer registration as well as
cleaning out undesirable uploaded files.
Microcontroller Programming Semester Project
• Language: Basic
Assemble and program Boe-Bot robotic vehicle. Servos are used to propel the vehicle forward/reverse
and to perform turns. Attach IR Sensor and Continuity Whiskers to aid in object tracking and
avoidance. IR Sensor allows Boe-Bot to perceive bright objects in or close to its path and maneuver
towards or away from them. Continuity Whiskers allow the Boe-Bot to perceive close objects in its path
and maneuver around.
Senior Project

Create a digital sign in system to allow users to login to lab devices and record transactions. Keypad
devices verify only valid users are allowed to log in and automatically switch the lab device on after

verification is complete. Database holds records of all transactions and can generate an invoicing
statement for a desired period. System able to be deployed in star networks where the central hub has
access to the database.
