Work Experience:
Project: Legacy data Migration into Oracle Projects
Client: ORACLE CORPORATION
Role: Senior Developer (Techno-Functional)
Duration: Jun 2009 - May 2010
Environment: PL/SQL, Oracle Apps, Oracle APIs.
Whenever Oracle acquires companies, their legacy data is migrated to Oracle
database. We used to migrate this by using WinRunner scripts, which was
time consuming and lengthy process. To simplify the migration, I have
created PL/SQL API's to automate this process, which was robust and much
faster.
The PL/SQL API's are used to migrate the setups like Project & Tasks Setup,
Budget Setup, Agreements, Key Members and Customer contacts from legacy
system into Oracle Project Accounting.
In this process, Web ADI would take initial care of loading projects data
into temporary tables, later on, the APIs would take care of validating and
migrating data into the respective PA tables through a couple of concurrent
processes.
Responsibilities:
. Responsible for understanding the Business requirements and plan
for application migration.
. Responsible for the delivery of the solution on Oracle Apps R12.
. Extensively used Oracle public APIs (AMG APIs).
. Created concurrent programs for carrying out the data migration
from the Legacy system (Oracle acquired companies) to Oracle Apps.
. Involved in Co-ordination with the UAT team (Business).
. Work breakdown, deciding on Timelines, Estimations and Tracking.
. Conducted training sessions for the team to understand the Requirements
and Performance requirements of the system.
Project: Learning Credits Auto-creation Enhancement Bundle
Client: ORACLE CORPORATION
Role: Senior Developer (Techno-Functional)
Duration: Sep 2009 - Dec 2009
Environment: Oracle Forms 6i, PL/SQL, Oracle Apps R12.
Learning Credits Auto Creation is one of the custom solutions created for
OLM which closely integrates with Pricing and AR modules. Learning Credits
is a way where in the customer pays a certain amount of money ahead to the
Oracle University. With this the user enters into an agreement with Oracle
University to get a certain % of discounts on all education products that
they buy for some duration of time.
Responsibilities:
. Implemented Learning Credits Auto-Creation solution for 5 countries
with localizations.
1. I modified the form at various stages like added a salesrep LOV,
which in-turn will reflect in 'Pricing Agreements' form of
Pricing module & 'Transactions' form of AR.
2. Added a few fields to handle Argentina, Brazil and Columbia
localizations.
. Coordinated with AR team to get the solution live on time.
. Coordinated with business to get the UAT finished.
Project: XML based Education letters solution
Client: ORACLE CORPORATION
Role: Senior Technical developer
Duration: Jun 2009 - Sep 2009
Environment: PL/SQL, AOL, XML Publisher, Java.
One of the biggest custom solutions implemented for OLM is the Education
Letters solution. Every letter would gather the required data in the first
step and build an XML in the second step which would be placed into middle
tier. The main java program would then merge the generated XML file with
the RTF file to generate an HTML page which would be sent to the customers
through emails.
Responsibilities:
. I developed a few new letters for the Oracle University's demanding
needs like Enrollment Cancellation letter, eKit Activation Letter,
Setup Direction Letter. It includes development of a new package
that fits into the existing suite and designing/modification of an
rtf.
. Fixed bugs during UAT and handled post go-live.
. Active participation in code review activities.
Project: Framework Pages for Education Business
Client: ORACLE CORPORATION
Role: Senior Technical developer
Duration: Dec 2008 - Jun 2009
Environment: Oracle Apps R12, Oracle Applications Framework, java.
Customers of Oracle University receive various letters right from placing
the order till attending the class, which include various details like
Oracle Policies, Terms & Conditions, Oracle customer service phone and fax
numbers, etc. These details are maintained in custom tables. They need
update often, requiring approvals for the change and AIT involvement since
updates made directly from backend are critical.
Responsibilities:
. Developed framework pages to maintain the custom tables. Later the
pages were given restricted access to the respective country
representatives based on their access privileges.
. Students place orders to take classes and they receive eKits (Soft
copy of study material). Oracle iLearning facilitates the ability
for every student to download the material using a unique
key/password which is student/enrollment specific. I developed a
framework page to search and send data from Order Management to
iLearning.
