SYNERGISTIC ACTIVITIES

Cyndi Montgomery has been actively engaged in both private and public

sectors of the building industry for over 15 years. Her experience ranges

from residential home design, commercial illustration, municipal

residential and commercial plan review, code official, inspection,

consulting, management, and instructing.

As a code official in the public sector for extra large jurisdictions she

brings a wide range of experience and knowledge in Building Code

enforcement, management and instruction. She holds Certifications as a

Uniform Building Code Building Plans Examiner, ICC International Building

Code Plans Examiner, ICC Commercial Energy Plans Examiner, ICC Residential

Energy Inspector/Plans Examiner, ICC Accessibility Inspector/Plans

Examiner, is a TDLR Registered Accessibility Specialist and a RESNET

Certified Home Energy Rater (HER's).

Cyndi is currently the Chief Operations Officer (C.O.O.) for SMARTreview,

is serving a two year position on the International Code Council (ICC)

Education Committee, and recently served the Dallas County Community

College District (DCCCD) as an Adjunct Professor in the Residential

Building Performance Technology (RBPT) Program. Cyndi has worked as an

illustrator for the Department of Defense, displayed artwork in West

Germany, and completed architectural studies in the former Soviet Union.

Cyndi's work with the Energy Systems Lab (ESL) includes Program Management

of Senate Bill 5, Managing EE/RE Training Programs, and providing liaison

with Local, State and Federal entities, maintaining relations with Industry

Partners, and participating in International Code Council Development

Hearings. Cyndi is a member of the ESL's TERP Executive Committee. Cyndi

provides oversight of technical code assistance to a vast network of

professionals active in the building industry, ensuring that support is

provided in the areas of program funding and development, education,

training, and implementation of energy efficient measures in the built

environment as current and future programs develop. Her work entails

meeting the legislative responsibilities outlined in the Texas Emissions

Reduction Plan (TERP), specific to the Energy Systems Laboratory (ESL).

Cyndi represents the ESL at local, state and federal speaking engagements

and conferences, providing information and feedback on the many projects in

which the ESL is engaged.
