Magna International is a multi-national, seven business unit, $26 billion dollar per annum
automotive component and system supplier headquartered near Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Senior Business Development, Program Management Executive - Magna Intier and Closures
Managed 8 program employees in a multi-faceted and cross-functional approach approximately $65 million
in global platforms business portfolio with General Motors and Volkswagen. Supervised comprehensive
business development and program management endeavors for Interior Systems: door trim, package
shelves, Closure Systems: Metal stampings, Locks, strikers, latches, power assist units, window modules,
driver control systems.
• Initiated and received award of $20M in new business with Volkswagen for closure systems
consisting of window regulators, interior door handles and latches. All efforts were collaborated with
VW US and Mexico contacts and Magna Canada personnel.
• Achieved in excess of $30M in outstanding commercial tooling, material, and engineering-design
labor costs by demonstrating burden of proof and negotiating settlements on existing contracts.
• Managed Tier 2 and 3 supply base including supply chain attributes.
• Provided commercial liaison expertise to Tier 1 supplier during development of a modular brake
system for the GMX 295 program.
• Developed new business opportunities for rear window package tray through marketing wood fiber
technology and providing complete assembly applications which reduced material and labor costs
resulting in increased sales by $50M over 4 years.
• Managed all commercial activities for the 2009 Corvette clutch and parking brake system.
• Streamlined the internal assembly process by improving modular system assemblies creating
customer cost savings.
