ACADEMIC PROJECTS
Michigan Technological University
. Obstacle Navigator
Objective: To drive the robot without bumping it into the walls or
any static obstacles. 3 ultrasonic sensors were used to
detect obstacles and robot was made to take a right or left
turn & then move forward again. TI's MSP430 (mixed signal
processor) microcontroller was used to give commands to the
robot.
. Barcode Reader
Objective: Image based barcode reader was implemented through
digital image processing in MATLAB. An interface was
developed for the user to input any image containing barcode
& the extracted code was displayed as output through image
processing.
. Object Finder
Objective: To design a communication system that finds a lost
object by wirelessly transmitting the data to receiver
integrated onto the object. The receiver, upon receiving data
from the transmitter, beeps an alert sequence or lights an
LED to assist finding the object.
Rajiv Gandhi Technical University
. Digital Code Access Lock (Access Control)
Objective: The project was based on the security systems that we
apply in various house hold appliances like door lock, car
lock etc. It was based on the circuitry which consists of an
IC based on Dual Flip-Flop.
. 4 channel Telemetry Systems
Objective: Idea of the project was to transmit data from one
point to another. This transmission could have been wireless
or with-wire, but as wireless is more enhanced technology
than with-wire transmission, we adopted wireless technologies
for transmitting and receiving measured data.
LEADERSHIP
. ECE Department Representative, Graduate Student Government, Michigan
