experience includes working with all levels of
management, managing contractors, craft labor, in
house plant maintenance crews and non-union labor.
The last 2 years I have worked as a Site Manager
for the Day and Zimmerman NPS Company, prior to
that I spent four years in the same position with
the Phillips, Getschow Company, a Mechanical
Contractor in the Illinois area. Some of my job
duties include the supervision and planning, cost
tracking and scheduling of projects involving craft
labor, Boilermakers, Millwrights, Ironworkers,
Pipefitters etc. and extensive travel from jobsite
to jobsite. I have average computer skills in MS
Office, Excel, Word, Outlook and some experience
with primavera. My other major experiences were
with the CommonWealth Edison Company where I spent
twenty five years working as a supervisor and field
engineer in construction and maintenance. Some of
my duties while working in construction included
bid evaluation and clarification up to and
including award of contract as well as field
supervision of contractor. I have attended many
seminars for different types of management
techniques and maintenance repairs. I have a
working knowledge and hands on experience as well
as supervisory experience in all facets of
maintenance and repair including but not limited
to, turbine repairs including major component
repair and replacement, turbine valve disassembly,
reassembly and repair, turbine oil and cooling
water systems, boiler repairs, air heater overhauls
including basket and seal replacements, pin rack

and reinstallation of all components. Performed gas
check on all four units and had no leaks, prior to
starting job all combustor support brackets on all
four units were leaking gas. All work was completed
ahead of schedule and under budget.

Siemens Westinghouse 501D Combustion Turbines and
Generators. Job duties included planning and
supervising, all cost tracking, schedule updates,
parts inventory and the work assignments for three
crafts, Boilermakers, Millwrights and Ironworkers.
Boilermaker Scope : Lead Superintendent for 40
Boilermakers during installation and assembly of
air inlet filter house including steel structure
and filter installation, assembly of wet
compression duct work including two expansion
joints, assembly of exhaust duct, silencer section
and stack including all structural steel, expansion
joint and silencers. Assembled and installed
generator filter house for Siemens-Westinghouse air
cooled generator. In charge of all welding
associated with project.
Millwright Scope : Lead Superintendent for 15
Millwrights during installation and assembly of gas
turbine and generator from sole plate installation
to final coupling alignment, including diffuser
installation, bypass ring assembly and all grout
work for all equipment. We also performed coupling
alignment on all plant auxiliary equipment. The
generators were manufactured in Germany, the first
of their type to be installed in the U.S.
Ironworker Scope : Lead Superintendent for 15
Ironworkers during assembly and installation of
turbine sound enclosure, generator enclosure and
exhaust enclosure.
Subcontractor Scope : Lead Superintendent for
Insulation contractor for entire project, also for
heavy haul and initial setting of turbines and
generators including all associated cost control
and paper work. Performed duties of site
coordinator with Electrical Contractor and Civil
Contractor to assure all work was completed without

gas and air duct repairs, FD and ID fan overhauls,
conveyor idler replacement, crusher belt feeder
overhauls. Also supervised multi-craft crew in the
demo and reinstallation of a new 500 ton per hour
Coal Crusher and feeder including modifications to
all structural steel, existing concrete and chute
work from the bunker to the conveyor belt.
Midwest Generation Will County Station Romeoville,
Illinois
Planned and organized supervision of 35
Boilermakers, 10 Pipefitters, 10 Millwrights and 4
laborers in performing air heater basket removal
and inspection, diaphragm and double diaphragm weld
repairs, seal replacement, new basket installation
and changing of the pin rack, and gear box repair.
Performed inspection of Unit Condenser to determine
cause of spring table damage and hydraulic ram
damage, designed lifting and holding device for
condenser while removing spring tables for repairs
and replacing hydraulic rams. Tube samples were
removed from the tube sheet for inspection
purposes, also replaced 2 expansion joints from
inlet tunnel to water box. There were overhauls
performed on C.E. Raymond bowl mills and coal
feeders and exhausters, along with coal and ash
piping replacement and miscellaneous valve change
out and repair on H.P steam systems.

Illinois
Supervised 50 Boilermakers and 6 Ironworkers in the
installation of a new over fire air system to a 350
megawatt B&W cyclone boiler, including tube removal
and replacement in other area's of the boiler,
penthouse repairs, new catwalk installation and all
new air ducts.
Ameren Energy Coffeen Station Coffeen Illinois
Supervised 16 Pipefitters and 6 Millwrights during
the installation of a new cooling pond piping and
pump installation for the purpose of lake water
temperature reduction. Piping was 36" diameter 20 '
lengths about 1000' for four pumps, all pipe
connections open butt welded.

Supervised 70 Boilermakers and 15 Pipefitters
during overhaul on Combustion Engineering
tangential furnace for 800 megawatt unit, repair
work included secondary superheat pendent
replacement, division wall bowtie replacement,
miscellaneous Dutchmen installation throughout
boiler, air heater seal replacement and cold end
modification, removal and replacement of over 5000
tube shields. Installation of isolation valves in
coal piping at all burners where there had been
none installed previously, miscellaneous coal pipe
and elbow replacement. Installation of new
instrument air header and instrument tubing to
miscellaneous valves. Replacement of 4" and 6"
house service water line for unit from carbon steel
to stainless steel.

Supervised Boilermakers and Millwrights during
installation of two Westinghouse 175 MW Gas Turbine
/ Generators including installation of embeds and
anchor bolts generator and turbine grouting all

Fall 1999 - Commonwealth Edison Fisk Station,
Chicago, Illinois
Site Manager and Field Supervisor of contractors,
for the removal and installation of 36" hot reheat
header from boiler outlet header to turbine
intercept valves and from turbine intercept valves
to reheat turbine cylinder. Included in
contractors scope was air heater wash, boiler wash
and air heater seal replacement, also included was
grit blasting precipitator plates and changing out
wires and bottle weights. Directly Supervised 20
man maintenance crew performing maintenance
overhaul on an Allis - Chalmers 380 MW Cross
Compound Turbine Generator. Work included
disassembly, repair evaluation, performing some
repairs, supervising all contracted labor repairs
and reassembly of double flow L.P. Turbine. Other
projects included in scope of work were removal and
replacement of all bearings on H.P. - I.P. train
including H.P. generator to determine previous
vibration problems. Pre and post coupling
alignments on both the H.P. I.P. and H.P.
Generator, and the L.P. dual rotors and generator.
Spring 1999 - Commonwealth Edison Powerton Station,
Pekin,Illinois Site Manager and Field Supervisor of
Mechanical contractor in the overhaul of a G.E. 800
MW Steam Turbine Generator. Unit consisted of H.P.
- I.P. and two dual flow L.P. rotors. Work
included disassembly, repair evaluation,
supervision of all contracted repairs and
reassembly of the Unit. Some of the repairs that
were performed included rebuilding of the H.P.
nozzle block in place, removing and re-pinning last
stage buckets to prevent future damage to buckets.
The rebuilding of H.P. and I.P. diaphragms and
replacement of seal strips. Other components that
were disassembled and repaired and reassembled
include control valves, main steam stop valves and
intercept valves, both steam and oil side. Other
work included in contractors scope,was overhaul and
installation of 4 new traveling screens, removal
and installation of a new coal belt scale, overhaul
of 6 Penn Crusher 500 ton per hour hammer mills,
Complete overhaul of rotating car dumper and coal
hopper.
Fall 1998 - Commonwealth Edison Powerton Station,
Pekin, Illinois
Site Manager and Supervisor of Mechanical
contractor during the overhaul of a G.E. 800 MW
Steam Turbine Generator. Work consisted of
disassembly, repair and reassembly of H.P. I.P.
Turbine. Including all component sandblasting and
major turbine component repair. Other work included
disassembly of generator, off site rewind and
reassembly of the generator rotor in Richmond
Virginia and high speed balancing, all performed
under my direct supervision. Stator wedge
replacement was completed on site. All generator
testing was performed by General Electric under my
supervision. The generator was reassembled upon
return to the station.
Spring 1998 - Commonwealth Edison Crawford Station

overhaul contractor performing work on a G.E.285 MW
H.P. Reheat, dual flow L. P. Steam Turbine. Work
included complete disassembly of entire unit, both
turbine rotors and generator rotor were
disassembled, repaired and reassembled on site. All
valves were disassembled both oil and steam side
and repaired and reassembled during the outage.
Other duties included supervising all, on and off
site turbine component repairs.
Fall 1997 - Commonwealth Edison Crawford Station
Chicago,Illinois
Superintendent of overhaul of a Westinghouse 385 MW
Steam Turbine Generator. Work included disassembly,
repair evaluation, repairs and reassembly of H.P.
I.P. Turbine, generator hydrogen seal replacement
on both H.P. and L.P. generators. Hydrogen cooler
removal, cleaning, and reinstalling due to
hazardous material contamination. Control valve
overhaul both steam and oil side, as well as Main
steam stop and intercept valve overhauls. Other
duties included supervision of machining contractor
performing all turbine and valve repairs both on
and off site.

rotor discs, turbine blade removal and replacement,
turbine machining, turbine disc rebuilding and
blade root re-broaching and shimming and
disassembly of the other L.P. Turbine for blade
replacement and machining and the reassembling of
both turbines. Included in my scope was building
of schedule and cost tracking.
Spring 1989 to 1983 - State Line Station Hammond
IN.
General Maintenance Foreman supervising day to day
maintenance program in the continuous operation of
a 4 Unit Station in the Commonwealth Edison System.
Duties include supervising day to day repairs,
periodic overhauls, and preventative maintenance on
the Units
during this time. Have also worked extensively on
all Turbine/ Boiler related auxiliary equipment,
the station was equipped with three G.E. units and
one Westinghouse unit, C.E. and B&W boilers. During
career at State Line Station supervised three
De-stack / Re-stacks on the Westinghouse 325 MW
Crosscompound Steam Turbine for major repairs to
rotors as well as discs and turbine blades.
