The combined projects were about $100 million dollars (in the U.S this would be about
$400 million dollars), on two five (5) star resort communities that included Hotels,
Restaurants, Condominiums, a Spa, Luxury Villas and a golf course.
• This work included the infrastructure part of the projects from building public
/private access roads, bridges, box culverts, water lines, etc.
• All the structures were concrete built with concrete shear- walls .The reason
these structures were designed that way is because of the hurricane and earthquake
activity that occurs in that area.
• **The pre-stressed concrete beams for the bridges were manufactured at the job
site .The reason we had to build the concrete beams on site was because in that area
in Mexico, all the roads that lead there, in one section or another have a 7% drop, are
not very wide, and some of the curves there have a 90 degree turn angle. You don’t
want to haul pre-stressed concrete beams on those roads.

hurricane activity.
• Worked closely with the projects owners so their time lines could be followed.
• Directed activities of all field and some office personal on this project.
• Monitored a constant pumping out of sea water 24/7. The 24/7 sea water
pumping operation was done because one of the projects started 3 meters (11 feet.)
below sea level. Several divers were hired to work on this strategy.74 k cubic yards of
dirt were moved in the excavation process in that particular area
• Two (2) cast in place concrete cisterns (water tanks) each has a fifteen (15) day
capacity for five-hundred (500) people were built.Coordinated work with Environmental
engineers so this project site conformed to very strict environmental guidelines .These
guidelines had to be followed because of the projects very close location to Mexico’s
Largest (the worlds) National Water Park
• Wrote, designed and produced work schedules, time sheets, daily
reports.Created the construction project’s job safety program based on OSHA’S guide
lines.
• An electronic system (OPUS) was put in place that eliminated a lot of paper work
and helped in the management of man-hours and cost distribution.
• Trained and managed 150+ construction field personnel so a fast paced work
environment could be put into action. The Atlas concrete forming system was used for
this project .
• Three (3) million dollars were spent on buying heavy equipment, such as
excavators, front loaders, concrete trucks, a concrete pump, blades, rollers, dump
trucks, back-hoes, a concrete batch plant and such. This included two (2) remote
controlled tower cranes with the “rigging” system included.
• Conferred with and directed assistant superintendents, foremen and all the
subcontractors’ supervisors on a weekly basis on scheduling revisions, safety
meetings and other things.
• Monitored all supervisors so that all union work rules were followed.
