DataPower Responsibilities
. Involved from the very beginning when DataPower was brought into
the Bank
. After servers were racked, stacked and powered up by site
engineers, fully configured servers bringing them up to production
standards
. Configurations included Ethernet interfaces, domains, users, groups
and their security
. Setup external system logs, MQIPT, SNMP monitoring
. Interfaced with application developers to move their code into the
DataPower servers
. Created and renewed MQ and server SSL certificates for these
servers
. Worked with application developers and DataPower support to debug
and resolve all system and application problems
DataPower Achievements
. Asked to establish DataPower servers within the bank. Starting from
the inception, success was achieved through the configuration of
all servers, DEV, UAT, Prod and DR, located in 3 separate U.S data
centers and having the application go live supporting the banks
customers.
. Strong understanding of the servers and hands-on experience enabled
me to function as a DataPower specialist becoming the first line
contact for any DataPower related issues
. Knowledge and abilities enabled me to transfer skills and help
train team members in DataPower administration

Responsible for an NDM file transfer system used to move data between AIX
Servers, IBM Mainframes and Windows Servers. Installed and maintained this
NDM system and wrote all KORN Shell scripts used to implement these
transfers.
