EXPERIENCE
Independent / Freelance Experience
September 2009 - May 2010: Organized the business expo for the FPL Extreme
Energy Education Event at the Treasure Coast Research Park. The event
featured sustainable businesses and an alternative fuel powered go-kart
race for students.
June - July 2009: Typed a 200-page book from the author's handwritten text
and added research information on Emergency Medical Services for author
Shaun Fix of Emergency Medical Consultants, Inc. in Port St. Lucie.
April - May 2009: Event chair for a fundraiser organized by the Young
Professionals of the Treasure Coast. The wine tasting and silent auction
event, Taste the Spirit '09, raised $2,462 for the United Way of St. Lucie
County.
April 2009: Prepared a package of materials to bid for a State project on
coral reef research and protection for Florida Environmental Consulting,
Inc. in Vero Beach.
February - November 2009: As a volunteer for the Humane Society of St.
Lucie County, I facilitated the adoption of multiple homeless cats and dogs
at the St. Lucie West Petco Adoption Center.
January 2009 - Present: Chair of the St. Lucie County Chamber of Commerce's
Green Committee. Important role in the creation of a "green endorsement"
program for Chamber members who follow green business practices. Committee
Chair from October 2009 to present.

Director. The position involved administrative skills, teacher and student
scheduling, meeting with parents, marketing, decision making, networking,
administering tests to students, keeping records, setting up file systems,
and keeping up the standards of the franchise as required by the corporate
office.
Land Design South, Port St. Lucie, Florida March 2007 - January 2009
Served as a key role in marketing efforts for the firm as well as
preparation of bids for new projects. Highly valued for communication with
clients, local governments, and citizens. Land use planning for small and
corporate clients. Managed several government planning projects involving
citizen outreach. Prepared proposals, time lines, and cost estimates for
new projects. Prepared maps, PowerPoint presentations, and other visual
aids for applications and presentations.

Update and implementation of the County's Comprehensive Plan and supporting
documents. Team leader reviewing and preparing documents for Annexations.
Key contact for analysis of Census data relating to the County. Organized
many planning workshops and public forums. Presented agenda items to Board
of County Commissioners and Community Planning Group. Member and leader of
several multi-disciplinary teams including those with other government
entities such as the University of Florida and City of Gainesville.

July 1999 - May 2001
Wastewater Compliance and Enforcement - inspected industrial and domestic
wastewater facilities for compliance with State issued permits. Wrote
reports and kept records in files and in a database. Evaluated and entered
data and kept records for industrial and domestic wastewater facilities.
Assisted in writing new wastewater permits and discharge monitoring reports
and evaluated data for compliance purposes. Helped with overall data
reliability issues at DEP. Earned Employee of the Month for data
reliability initiative.
Sheraton Hotel, Gainesville, Florida
February - July 1999
Reservation agent. Set reservations for guests, organized groups of guests
(weddings, sports teams) into room blocks, kept files of daily hotel
operations, used Fidelio computer software for reservations, and assisted
with amenities for VIP guests.
