Supervised the installation and start up of 16 injection molding
machines, cooling tower and central loading system in an empty warehouse.
Set up the process parameters and quality standards for 150 production
molds. Directed maintainence force of 12 Union maintenance employees to
maintain the injection machines.
. Managed the retrofit of a 1965 HPM injection machine for a clamp
unit problem in the hydraulics; this retrofit saved the company 1.2
million dollars to replace it.
. Utilizing my process abilities, 150 injection molds for 3 different
programs were allocated from sub-suppliers and ready for mass production
in 45 days.
. Worked with customer engineering to redesign 4 parts to eliminate
an at the press secondary operation, saving the company $214,000. and
eliminate customer returns for missing components.

Tool Room Supervisor
Assisted in the supervision of tool room work force comprised of 17
mold makers and machinists. When in 1990 assumed the position of
supervisor. Directly responsible for the acquisition of supplies, new
equipment and repairs of existing equipment. Performed hands on repairs
and engineering changes as directed by the engineering staff.
. Engineered and retooled all molds and hot plate welders for a tail
light assembly line to eliminate $550,000. warranty returns from the
customer.
. During the apprenticeship period, I exhibited excellent skills and
was advanced to group leader over the seasoned mold makers and
responsible for their productivity.
. Designed and constructed a prototype and production mold for multi-
color injection molded tail light, in turn brining 5 million in new
business to the company.

with time spent in Mold Making, Mold Design, prototyping, plastics
