CHRYSLER GROUP LLC - TWINSBURG STAMPING PLANT

Tier 1 OEM Automotive supplier of metal stampings & sub-assemblies to

Chrysler Assembly facilities.

Manufacturing Manager - Press Room Operations (July 2007 to present)

Leader of 3 shift plant operations including P&L to deliver results in

Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Morale initiatives while meeting all

customer plant needs.

o Facility is a major blanking and stamping operation which includes

nine (9) transfer presses, three (3) tandem presses, two (2)

progressive presses, three (3) high speed blanking presses, and a

state of the art machining center

o Directs a staff of 18 professionals along with over 500+ operators

and skilled trades persons producing 120,000 parts per day for

multiple assembly plants on a daily basis.

o Improved press line efficiencies and reduced plant operating costs

using by teaching Lean Manufacturing rules.

. Results included improvements in equipment effectiveness by

111%, die change time by 94%, and operational cost

improvements by 95%.

o Launched small groups as a key component of shop floor management

with team leaders.

o Initiated a weekly planning meeting for preventative maintenance

(TPM) and performance measurements that drove uptime up by 14%,

unplanned downtime down 19%, and customer quality concerns down

58%.

o Chairman of Sub-Committee to develop the talent level of the entire

plant organization.

New Model Launch Manager (February 2005 to July 2007)

Leader of all activities to successfully launch eight (8) major vehicle

platforms to multiple customers with Critical Path Timing and Project

Management skills incorporated while launching a unique, process driven

launch process.

o Complete responsibility of four (4) engineers and six (6) team

members to execute the entire process of launching a vehicle

including steel, processes, dies, tooling, racks, work

instructions, all critical characteristics of the process(es),

assembly cells, quality dispositions, SPM and cycle times, and

shipment to final customer.

o Quality SPIR's dispositioned prior to launch date for all programs

- dimensional and surface.

o Delivered all jobs to operational teams running at targeted SPM and

cycle times.

o Delivered all parts - stampings and assemblies - to customers for

all delivery gate requirements ahead of the MRD date with zero

issues.

. Implemented a multipoint certification process with data and

checksheet process for all parts.

o Ensured accurate record keeping of launch costs to ensure we stayed

on target in terms of cost/budget.

o Developed and instituted a Launch Process template to streamline

operations and launch a vehicle to a common process [still in use

today].

Assembly Area Manager (February 2003 to February 2005)

Lead all activities in the Assembly Center, including New Model Programs,

to deliver results to support the Assembly Center's objectives.

o Lead the efforts of six (6) supervisors and 48 operators to

manufacture sub-assemblies for multiple customers.

o Successfully launched two vehicles and their processes for two

different customers.

o Lead the project to successfully build out a program and off-load

its assets to a third party supplier.

Production Supervisor (July 1997 to February 2003)

Lead activities in both the Pressroom Center and the Assembly Center in

multiple areas on multiple shifts to deliver plant objectives with respect

to safety, quality, delivery, cost, and morale goals.

FORD MOTOR COMPANY - LORAIN ASSEMBLY PLANT

OEM Manufacturer of automobiles for the end-line customer

Final Assembly Superintendent (February 1995 to July 1997)

Lead the efforts of seven (7) supervisors, 115 indirect associates, and the

shifts skilled trade teams to adhere to all throughput, quality, and cost

objectives.

o Successfully used a build to order process to assembly two

different projects on one manufacturing assembly line process.

o Worked abroad for one (1) calendar year to learn and teach to Ford

Motor Company's worldwide manufacturing plants the Ford Production

System for full implementation.

Final Assembly Supervisor (July 1994 to February 1995)

Delivered results in multiple production areas to support the build to

order process across multiple shifts to support the department and plants

objectives.
