Production Supervisor
. Responsible for meeting the daily production schedule and
the quality of the products in assigned department.
Continuing to hone my leadership and team building skill by
being in charge of 35 union represented employees. Required
to train new employees, discipline employees and evaluate
employees to determine if further action is required.
Coordinate with Maintenance department on getting necessary
repairs completed in timely manner with minimal disruption to

2/2008-2/2010 General Motors Shreveport, LA
Quality Control Engineer
. Responsible for all the components that make up the brake
system, fuel system, steering system and wheels and tires.
Was in contact with various suppliers, both national and
international, to discuss and resolve issues with their
respective parts. Worked along side the suppliers to
determine the proper containment and rework for the defects
with their parts. Also worked with the supplier to determine
root cause and irreversible corrective action to guard
against repeat occurrences of the same defect arriving at the
plant in the future. I am Journeyman in Red X problem
solving. The training utilized Shanin principles and
techniques to resolve complex issues with multiple variables
to determine the root cause. Although several contributors
may be present, this process found the major contributor to
the whole issue. Used General Motors software to document
defect and cost recoveries against each supplier. The cost
recoveries were issued to recoup costs associated with the
sorting, rework, repairs and downtime which were caused by
the defect.
9/2006-2/2008 General Motors Shreveport, LA
Production Supervisor
. Responsible for daily production schedule and the quality
metrics for various areas of the body shop. In addition
to the 30 production team members in the area, I was also
responsible for the area electricians. Excelled in
organizing a team atmosphere in each of the areas I was
overseeing, while continuing to work on my leadership
skills. Coordinated with the maintenance department to
schedule and complete repairs in a timely manner with
minimal impact to production. Completed daily end of
shift reports utilizing Microsoft Office software.

training of team members as work instructions changed and
the discipline of team members as required.
9/2005-9/2006 General Motors Shreveport, LA
Dimensional Engineer
. Responsible for keeping the body of the trucks within
build tolerance. This required adjustments to the
tooling, from shim adjustments to adding new details, as
required. Analyzed CMM and vision data to monitor the
build of the vehicle and verify tooling changes for the
desired results. Responsible for the toolmakers in the
body shop who ran the CMM machines, made new details for
the tools, made the shim moves and maintained the vision
systems in the shop.
7/1998-9/2005 General Motors Warren, MI and Pontiac, MI
Sr. Project Manufacturing Engineer
. During this assignment, successfully completed the
processing, tool design and construction, installation and
start up of body framing equipment for two major new
product launches. Responsibilities included the plant
floor layout for the framing area, estimating the cost of
the equipment and installation, writing the statement of
requirements for the design and build shop to follow, bid
reviews, working with purchasing to award bids and
creating, revising and following program timelines
utilizing Microsoft project. Worked with job shops to
assure the project stayed on time and within budget.
These projects consisted of new framing stations, roof
load tools and approximately one hundred twenty-five
robots and weld guns costing $15 million dollars.
7/1992-7/1998 General Motors Lordstown, OH
Maintenance Supervisor
. Responsible for all the maintenance of the body framing
area in the plant. This included all the trades,
millwrights, electricians, pipe fitters and welder
repairmen, for the reactive as well as the preventative
maintenance. This role helped me develop my leadership,
troubleshooting and team building skills. Worked closely
with production to assure the necessary repairs were
completed in a timely manner with minimal impact to
production. During times of model changeover, responsible
for installation of new equipment, modifying equipment or
rearranging equipment to achieve the specific requirements
for the project. This included getting the appropriate
manpower and trades to get the assignment completed within
the project timing.
