The cable advertising sales division of Charter Communications, a Fortune
500 company and the 4th largest cable operator in the United States.
Director of Operations, Great Lakes Division
Managed Media Operations Center (MOC) which encompassed client services,
technical operations and creative services for the Great Lakes KMA,
consisting of 100 employees, 100 headends and 3200 networks, servicing 20
sales offices with annual sales of $60 million. Accountable for commercial
production, sales automation and order tracking, scheduling, managing
airtime inventory, airing and billing.
. Oversaw significant infrastructure expansion and new product rollouts,
including expansion from 1500 nets to 3000, 50 headends to 100, and 5
Main Street networks to 29, resulting in increased selling
opportunities and product offerings while adhering to industry and
corporate bandwidth requirements.
. Managed creation and administration of $6.2 million capital budget and
$6.7 million expense budget and through careful expense management and
repurposing of capital assets, consistently came in 10% under target
each year.
. Transitioned traffic accountabilities from Sheboygan to Madison which
required a rebuild of entire department, including staffing and
training. Led staggered rollover of 20+ sales offices, resulting in no
downtime and minimal lost revenue throughout transition.
. Created and implemented a program that empowered front-line employees
to assist in developing performance metrics, impact changes and lead
initiatives, which engaged staff and maximized proficiencies, proven
by ability to manage same work load as other offices with 30% less
staff.
. Developed and facilitated 6 month leadership development program
focused on transitioning managers ("doers") into coaches (empowering
employees) and witnessed culture change over time, where employees

. Oversaw creation and implementation of a creative services database

. Oversaw product launch, branding, rollout, training and implementation

involvement and testing in real world environments prior to production

users including a 24/7 help desk, monitoring, daily scheduling and
verification for all 3200 networks and associated systems, resulting
in improved end user experience and increased revenue by improving
response time to outages.

training program for each new associate, resulting in increased
confidence in capabilities and understanding of how their role
impacted other departments.
. Developed and implemented several outreach programs to help bridge the
geographical gap with internal customers (sales associates) and the

suggestion box and Meet the Team site in SharePoint, which resulted

Responsible for client services, ad insertion and creative services

included development of operational policies and procedures, hiring, staff
development and training, and capital and expense budgeting.
. Instituted an organizational structure, developed and implemented
standard operating procedures, and set performance expectations with
staff, which greatly enhanced workflow and supported the need to
handle exponential sales growth over a short period of time.
. Managed conversion from CCMS 20/20 to Novar that further enhanced
