Work Qualcomm Inc. San Diego, CA
Software/Systems Test Engineer
Experience Jan’2010-Present
• Executed standalone testing, integration testing, functional testing, performance testing and
regression testing of Camera, Video Encoder (driver and parser level) on Windows Mobile
Platform (WM6.5 and WM7) on Qualcomm Chipsets
• Developed level based test plans to achieve 100% test coverage of all components from end
to end, managed and executed the test plan to meet the project schedule
• Test automation using PERL, automation testing included running Perl scripts for various
codecs using QUALCOMM automation tool – ASIA Test manager (ATM)
• Other responsibilities include reporting the issues back to the integration/development team
by raising CRs (Change Requests), assigning priority & severity to them as per the requirements of
the build release
Qualcomm Inc. San Diego, CA
Internship June’08-May’09
• Worked on QTES software(Qualcomm’s Test and Evaluation System) as the primary project in
Multimedia (QCamera) Applications team for development of GUI in Matlab to evaluate and test camera
modules
• Handled Service Requests and customer support for Foxconn/HP
• Collected logs (Platform Builder logs, QXDM logs) and analysis of the same for Camera
Services
• Video Demo for RIM Executives - Architectural Review of various chipsets
• Coordinated Documentation and release process for various documents used for training customers
• Coordinated Hands-on training for various customers
• Imaging Lab Open House Poster Presentation for QTES software
• Loaded and tested various builds on different platforms, viz. Brew, Windows Mobile and
Linux
• Honored “QUALSTAR” for automating QTES Image Quality Evaluation System to
achieve high processing efficiency

Projects Missouri University of Science and Technology, Electrical Engineering Department
Wireless Communications
• Designed a simulation model for transmitter receiver station in an urban environment using Radio
Propagation Simulator 5.3
• Generated Rayleigh fading channel impulse response and compared the statistical properties of the
CIR with the reference model.
• Simulated modulation and demodulation process and BER using Matlab at different SNR values.
• Simulated Maximal Ratio Combining Scheme and demonstrated the effectiveness of receive
diversity combining techniques in Rayleigh fading channels.
• Implemented encoding and decoding of convolution codes for cdma2000 systems and compared
performances of coding (with and without interleaving) between AWGN and Fading channels.
Machine Vision
• Pixel Classification Project
Built a pixel-level classifier which predicts whether a pixel under consideration belongs to a
particular class (e.g. sky, skin, foliage etc.). Several desired features were extracted from images to
test whether or not the pixels belong to the desired class of interest.
Research
Experience Undergraduate Project
Study and Analysis of Harmonics in Compact Fluorescent Lamps
• Harmonics in CFL at a research organization “BHABHA ATOMIC RESEARCH CENTRE”
• The project involved measurement of harmonic levels using electronic ballasts and electromagnetic ballasts
at line frequency and high frequency using Cathode Ray Oscilloscopes
• Studied advantages of working with electronic ballasts over electromagnetic ballasts
Honors
and Activities Secured Merit Rank in 12th Grade examination
