Responsible for the daily operations of customer shipments being processed
through a Fulfillment Center.
Daily coordination of staffing balance between Pick, Pack and Ship
Departments based against volume available to work to ensure customer
promise delivery date. Oversee Area Management staff to ensure individual
departments succeed in managing flow of product and staff. Ensure all staff
performs assigned tasks safely by performing audits to identify hazardous
behavior or conditions. As a result of safety performance, this
Fulfillment Center achieved the Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) through
OSHA. Continuous improvement of processes using Operational Excellence,
Lean and Kaizen tools to realize a 9%-14% increase in performance year over
year. Mentored and development Area Managers to ensure progression of staff
to support the growth of the company. Led daily production meetings to
review past performance, identify challenges, celebrate successes and plan
for improvement. Championed Area Managers and assisted in projects focused
on reducing waste throughout processes. Oversee the direct management of
80 employees during non holiday periods and approximately 350-400 employees
during holiday seasons.
