I wrote behavioral programs and provided psychotherapy for
adults with intellectual disabilities and concurrent
psychiatric conditions. I conducted data collection for a Grief
study that addresses the discrepancies in perceptions of grief
and loss between family members and the residents. I also
conducted social skills groups and began to develop a psycho-
educational group for support staff. I also provided quarterly
in-service training for direct support staff and conducted
Discus assessments to monitor symptoms of Tardive Dyskinesia,
and Dyspraxia and Mini Mental Status Exams to assess the
presence of dementia.

I wrote behavioral programs for individuals with mental and
intellectual disabilities. I worked with a group home
psychologist completing state mandated paperwork and conducted
assessments based on the principles of Applied Behavior
Analysis. Functional behavior assessments included structured
observations and analog behavior assessments, collected
behavioral data, Discus assessments, and intellectual and
adaptive behavioral assessments. I provided discrete trial
training and individual behavior therapy to clients.

I conducted intellectual and functional assessments for the
Special Education Department. I also wrote behavior programs
for children who were enrolled in the special education program

problems. I also assisted with the support group for parents of
children with Autism and additional disorders. I ran weekly
scheduled groups to teach verbal behavior, appropriate social
skills, and academic skills.

I co-facilitated weekly group meetings for women from diverse
international cultural backgrounds. We shared personal
experiences about living in the United States and other
countries as well as customs and traditions. Women took turns
sharing foods and teaching traditional dances or demonstrating
how to wear traditional clothing. Other events included
organizing shopping trips, movie gatherings, birthday
celebrations, ethnic holidays, baby-showers, played games,
participated in sporting events, and practiced conversational
English.

Biculturalism,
Discrimination, and General Psychological Functioning in
International Students"

endorsement of creative insight based on a structured and a
