levels. Over these years I have worked for both Public and Private Agencies
in direct services, supervision, support, strategic planning, mediation and

I have worked as part of a team
of Academic Coaches working with Columbus Public Elementary and Middle
Schools to get out of Academic Emergency/Watch. I worked directly with two
elementary Schools, Windsor, Lincoln Park and the 46 teachers and staff to
give the recourses and support they needed in addressing the students that
were struggling. This position was a one year contract on an overall three
year program.
Family Conference Coordinator/Resource Manager 2004 - 2006
The Buckeye Ranch, Columbus, Ohio
Responsible for the development of family based services for the Child
Welfare Managed Care program for the Ranch, Permanent Family Solutions
Network. Worked with the schools on the development of Individualized
Education Plans for the children who had difficulty in school.
Program Manager 1988 - 2003
Institute for Human Services, Columbus, Ohio
Worked with team to build 23 Treatment Foster Care Networks across Ohio.
Worked with each Network to develop and train highly skilled family
caregivers responsible for fostering the most challenging children. Helped
develop advocate training for families, foster patents and volunteers
working with children. Trained trainers to teach the core curriculum for
foster and adoptive caregivers. Also responsible for developing, training
and mentoring over 500 contract trainers for the Ohio Child Welfare
Training System.
Program Manager 1985 - 1988
Ohio Department of Human Services, Columbus, Ohio
Worked with the Medicaid, AIDS, PASSPORT (prior to the Department of Aging)
and the Disability Waiver programs. Helped set up administrative rules,
monitored the service delivery of local agencies and problem solved issues
to make sure clients were able to get services. Served as the initial
Director of the Title 4E Independent Living Program. Developed/monitored
local programs for 16- and 17-year-old youth who were in the custody of the
Child Welfare System to help them become independent adults.
President 1982 - 1985
Ability Recovery Services, Columbus, Ohio
Started private industrial rehabilitation agency serving large self-insured
companies for worker's compensation issues. Acted as administrative head
and managed a caseload of 15 injured workers during their recovery
services, including medical, drug management, re-training and their return
to work.
Treatment Foster Parent 1978 - 1981
Youth Advocate Services, Columbus, Ohio
Part of team that established and ran a Treatment Foster Care Network that
worked with all the children placed in the network work toward family
reunification.
Juvenile Justice Coordinator 1973 - 1978
Ohio Department of Development, Office of Criminal Justice, Columbus, Ohio
Responsible for managing a staff of 11 in administering Law Enforcement
Assistance Administration's efforts to de-institutionalize children who had
committed status offenses. Responsible for an annual budget of more than
$5 million for local programs to provide options to institutionalization
for these children.
Budget Officer/Juvenile Justice Program Developer 1971 - 1973
Los Angeles Regional Office of Criminal Justice, Los Angeles, California
Responsible for both the administrative budget and the grant budget.
Managed staff of three, payroll and presented the administrative budget to
our Board. Worked with State Auditors in monitoring the budget. Also
worked with local agencies in the Los Angeles area to develop grants and
serve the targeted populations the grant monies were meant to serve.
Juvenile Probation Officer 1968 - 1971
Los Angeles County Probation Department, Los Angeles, California
Supervised and managed group of teenage boys in ensuring they were
responsible in conducting their daily activities. Worked in the community
and managed a caseload of 30 youth who had been placed on probation.
Prepared reports, counseled and worked with families to prevent these youth
from becoming further involved in the court system.
Neighborhood Workshop Coordinator 1967 - 1968
City of East Cleveland, Ohio
Worked in organizing community efforts and empowering the citizens to
demand more from their local governments, Housing and Urban Development
Pilot Program.
Childcare Worker 1965 - 1967
Bellefaire Children's Home, Cleveland, Ohio
Worked with teenage boys with severe emotional problems.
Volunteer Activities:
Court Appointed Special Advocate
(CASA)
Trained and worked with over 15 children and their families as an officer
of the court to represent the best interests of a child in development of
case plans approved by the Court.
