I worked in a pediatric cardiac intensive care unit as bedside nurse asistant a unit with 14 beds

one side of intensive care (cardiac pte. open chest) and the other side step down. I paricipated in

a family committee also a Moral Committe. I served as patient care Spanish-English outreach

interpreter. I also assisted physicians and nurses like chest-tube insertions, central line foley

insertions, direct RA etc. I assisted helping pt. care like bathing, eating when pt. was step down

and also walked them on there discharge. During this tenure I was in the process of getting

Puerto Rico RN license endorse in the state of FL.

I provided direct nursing care to cardio-vascular, neurology and intensive care patients. I also

administrated medication,narcotic drips always all under physician orders.PICU was composed

of 6 beds, all pt .in a critical status was one on one bases. I also recieved open haert pt on cardio

pulmanery support, brain and shunt surgerys and the traumas in our unit. I assited on medical

procedures, chest tubes, cental lines and others.I did certifications on phlebotomy,cardio.
