Lean Coordinator
Responsible for the Lean Manufacturing Principles Implementation for our facility. Currently supervise the
Lean team and responsible for Lean event planning and task delegation. Participated in events at “Jasper
Engines and Transmissions” in Jasper, Indiana as well as ran lean events at our sister plant in Lancaster,
Pennsylvania. Conduct Lean Principles Introduction Training for Lean Team members and all employees who
have participated in recent events. When training the workforce I train to the Toyota Production System and go
over the 7 wastes (MUDA), the 4 M’s, JIT, Poke-Yoke, the 4 P’s and 5S. I have conducted time studies and
position analysis on assembly positions in both assembly line and the material department. Provide weekly
reports to the company president on Lean events. Saved an average of $45K per event
ISO 14001 & 9001 Coordinator 2006 – 2009
Developed, maintained and updated the Quality Management System and Environmental Management System
documentation in hard copy and on the intranet, as required for compliance with QMS and EMS requirements.
Update all the companies Document Control. Trained and coached new hires and on-site contractors to ISO
9001 and 14001 aspects. Scheduled and ran the QMS and EMS meetings. Trained the staff to the ISO 9001-
2000 standard, as well as the 14001-2004 standard. In addition, trained the staff on the SPCC, and evacuation
plans. I created new training tickets and matrix for the company. Conduct audits on areas within the facility
according to the QMS and EMS standard. Created a new Aspect program and maintained it for the facility.
Serve as one of the leaders in the Corrective/ Preventive action program. I coordinate, and maintain the internal
audit program, and the internal audit schedule. I train the internal auditors for our facility. Created new work
instructions for the assembly lines. Tracked quality numbers (internal and external defects) as well as
containments, accidents, gas, electricity usage, and recycling. Make sure that the facility is in compliance with
Federal, State, and local authorities. Conducted benchmarking sessions with our customer.

Performed daily, weekly, and monthly quality and environmental checks. Effectively communicated with our
vendors, customers, and staff. Sent out weekly reports to staff for ISO. Currently assist one of our sister plants
with ISO and getting them prepared for their up and coming ISO audit. Spoke at the Virginia EMS Conference
in 2007.

Started as a production assembly line worker. Picked among my peers to be a scheduling coordinator for 19
people within a team based environment. Assisted in the training of new hires, loading and unloading trucks.
Became a Level III Raw Material Technician. I was responsible for troubleshooting various
equipment/machines, raw material lot tracking, weekly/monthly cycle reports, on and off-site inventory control.
Participated in weekly videoconference with corporate environmental products division on raw materials. Also
while serving Corning, I received additional training and was a member of a lean and 5S core team, Six Sigma
Green Belt, and internal ISO Auditor. I performed yearly documentation audit updates and performed monthly
safety audits/inspections. In addition, I served as part of gate keepers committee, and goal sharing committee.
