Met with contracting companies’ engineers and architects, performed site inspections, reviewed client submittals for

compliance with contract documents and technical feasibility, prepared SOS/SOW’s. Worked on projects from $1 to

$6M, including: Dukhan Operations, New Projects Office Building assuming the engineering contractor management

at the transition from PD to DD phase as well as the reviewed the structural design, water supply, storm and sanitary

sewer designs. Vapor Recovery Unit at NGL Jetty (mostly part B of the project)- Prepared SOS, Spec for

Sr. Civil Structural Engineer-ARIES Group, MA, USA 01/07/09 – 11/04/09

Performed independent peer reviews on calculations, verified and validated RISA-3D v8.1.1 software for the DoE.

SKIKDA Refinery, Algeria, new cryogenic LNG Train Project, performed structural analysis on pipe bridges (up to

10m high x 5m wide, 19m long with mat foundations), single expansion loop bents and 16 T-supports on spread

footings. Checked and corrected analysis/design of BBX 15-MJ05 equipment access platform/pipe rack 6m high x

6.33m wide x 11.2m long. Studied changes to a small pump platform to make pump access easier. Structural Analysis

of 2 structural steel platforms, 10.7m x 4.5m, over cryogenic LPG Tank sump pits. Redesigned the mat slab pipe

support linking 2 pile caps, cantilevering 2m one way while spanning 5.6m. Preliminary estimate on a new E-W pipe

rack (62’ high x 85’ wide x 210’ long), re-engineering a process tower 70’ x 40’ x 65,’ and answered RFI’s from the

field. Worked on Hankamer cryogenic butane/propane pump station foundations. Designed pile/spread footing

foundations and T-Supports for Caprock Pump Station, miscellaneous equipment supports/foundations, plus E-house

and control building foundations. Lead Civil Structural Engineer responsible for 5 subordinates and 3 trainees,

working on 6 oil and gas gathering projects.

Structural Engineer – Jacobs Engineering, Golden, Colorado 80401 5/12/2008 – 11/14/09

Work on Climax 2010 mine expansion project, designing/checking foundations for the Admin, Grinding, Lab,

Warehouse, Flotation, Thickener and truck ramp structures. Redesigned 2 composite beam floors, steel Admin

pedestrian bridge (3 spans 150’ long, 12’ wide & 12’ high) and a steel mine truck bridge, (72’ span, 16’ wide with 6’

side trusses, steel/concrete composite deck, cast-in-place concrete abutment with spread footings); Analysis & Design

of a 30’x15’x15’ Electrical Equipment Bldg with 5 transformers and fire partitions. Designed 7 steel AHU platforms

(25’x30’each) with 2 steel stair towers and 3 levels of access walkways 150’ long. Back checked the Ball Mill

foundation calculations and drawings. Performed the structural analysis on the Sewage Treatment bldg (with process

pit); Waste Storage Bldg; Scale House bldg; and Truck Wash bldg (in Reinforced CMU). Investigated the retaining

walls beneath the ore stockpile’s dome cover for structural adequacy under increased loading; Performed MTO’s, Plan,

Vendor Submittals and Calculation Checking.

Lead Civil Structural Engineer – ETG, 8700 E Vista Bonita, Scottsdale AZ 85255 05/15/2006 – 04/26/2008

Worked on PRSI, EXXON-Mobile and 2 Valero refineries; Air Products and RohMax Degussa chemical plants; plus

Odfjell ship channel terminal facility. Team Leader on DNT-Autonomy Project modifying DNT#2, reworking 400 feet

of pipe rack, 80 feet of sleeper-way, plus added a new modularized SAC Unit process tower 275’ high (with a 4’ Mat

slab and 160 feet of new pipe racks). Rohmax Degussa control building modification for 125mph winds. Ethanol

plant: Structural Analysis of 76’ by 40’ by 2.5’ thick mat slab; a 60’ x 20’ by 21’ process structure for 3, 64’ tall 16’ x

12’ dryers and 5 access platforms walkways. Supervised 1 civil structural design engineer and 4 site engineers on a

Combined Cycle Power Plant expansion project; adding 46 50MW generators. Working on Jacob’s Ranch mine in

WY, performed the structural analysis on 2 Take-Up/Counter Weight Towers and a Magnet Tower with Mat

foundations. Load Generation/Mat slab designs for Surge Bin Tower and Crusher / Conveyor Towers. Preliminary

Structural Steel Design on Surge Bin Tower and final design on the Crusher Tower Building. Designed overland

conveyor trusses, 4 span 300’ long 16’-2” wide (with catwalks and cable-tray, conveyor’s support bents with spread

footings). Performed the structural reanalysis of the Circuit 1 & 2 conveyor truss structures, spanning 311’ each

(including concrete foundations). Performed the Truck Dump and Loading Tower structural Mat slab analysis/design.

Designed caissons, auger piles and their connections to the Mat slabs. FEED work done on heavy truck dump,

grizzlies and truck dump slab. Tracked / reported progress, contributed to project meetings, helped coordinate

engineering and CAD.

Lead Civil Structural Engineer - Saudi Aramco, Bldg. #728A, Dhahran 31311, KSA 03/11/04-03/13/06

Prepared FEED documents for gas/oil separator and gas/oil gathering facilities, a refinery, compressor stations and

BS&W removal facilities. Checked contractor bid proposals and final designs for Saudi Aramco. The $60B+ Project

covered the whole of Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. The SOW included adding preliminary drainage to insure that

drainage swales/gutters are self cleaning; Preliminary designs of storm water disposal and oily water waste treatment

units. Preliminary sizing of pipe racks, process towers and equipment foundations for MTO’s and cost estimates.

Reviewed and revised project specifications. Working in Inspection Assessment Group 726-120, checked civil and

structural project Submittal’s for both adequacy and for compliance with SAES. Wrote 48 draft civil and structural

inspection checklists, revised 50 and finalized 127 out of 150 . Logged suggestions from SAPIS, NAPIS, WRPIS,

QPIS & DAPIS about improvements to the SAIC/SATR’s and made required changes. Monitored the Inspection

Checklist “Project Recovery Plan” (using MS Project and MS Excel) to chart the progress of 8 disciplines in 6

divisions for the Department Manager; Received training in e.log.book and PQI Calculating and Reporting. Worked in

the Inspection Department’s Administration Unit 726-110 as the Acting Safety Coordinator. Administered the safety

Performed architectural structural analyses/redesigns for increased loads, blast and projectile hardening retrofits in

Washington, D.C.. Provided L3/K4 “car-bomb” protection to the Federal General Accounting Building with disguised

impact/blast barriers and bollards. Calculated the required safe standoff distances at USCG Fuel Depots and

determined guidelines for use of Metal Mesh Technology as an anti-terrorist measure. Blast & Structural Engineer on

Projects include 100M Mobile Service Tower for launching Ariane Rockets (connection checks / re-design); Gas

Compression Stations in CA, KY, MI – buildings, foundations, pipe rack designs. Four steel, concrete and masonry

buildings modified to carry an additional 200 psf for an IT project in high seismic zones. Power Plant Expansion

steel /concrete for 2- 250MW Combined Cycle GE 7FA Gas Turbine additions. Fin-fan cooler mat foundations,

retention basins, associated pump slabs, steel pipe racks on caissons. Supervised structural CAD and engineering work

on structural steel pipe racks, process towers, heavy equipment foundations, CBS concrete control / electrical

Civil Structural Engineer – BASF Corporation, Freeport, Texas, USA 1996 - 1997

Performed Structural Analysis, Design and Supervision of CAD on BASF Plant and Port Rehabilitation. Assisted with

field surveys, measurements and researched old plans and calculations for restoration and upgrading works on site.

1997

Performed Project Management on major restoration / conversion of Jeddah Refinery into South Jeddah Bulk Plant.

Jet Fuel production was upgraded on-site with plans to maintain it until 2005. 3 refinery process units were

demolished for new tank farm area. Supervised CAD / Engineering, field measurements, researched existing plans /

calc’s and spec’s. Worked on the expansion of the Port Facility to accommodate additional 60 and 100 DWT vessels,

added 300 DWT berthing dolphins outside the port. Prepared SOW packages, estimates and bid packages for

Contractors’ bid packages. Designed offshore loading island and jacket platforms for loading and unloading products.

Directed fieldwork, performed civil / structural engineering, supervised CAD and construction on projects less than

$200M estimated total construction cost.
