I believe my experience and solid record of achievement make me an ideal
candidate for Customer Service Representative. For the past ten years I
have been Office Manager for the Huntsville Stars, working with seven full
time and seventy-five part time employees. I have maintained a
collaborative working relationship with the Huntsville City administrators;
specifically the Parks & Recreation Department for Little League Opening
Ceremony, Armed Forces Celebration Week activities and the Huntsville
Sports Commission during the Alabama All-Star Sports Week. I also manage
the parking operations which include scheduling workers, assigning duties,
distributing tickets and money and reconciling sales at the end of each
game. As an Office Manager I invoice customers and have QuickBooks
experience. For over twenty-five years, I was a high school English teacher
with the Huntsville City Schools. In addition to teaching between 100-150
teenagers daily, interaction with parents and colleagues was an integral
part of my job. In my current position with the Stars I am the liaison
between the Huntsville Education Association (HEA) and school
administration working to ensure that Education Day at the park continues
to be a success. I supply the Huntsville Convention & Visitors Bureau with
game schedules and keep them informed of our activities as well as network
through the Huntsville Chamber of Commerce to seek other business
advertising sponsorships throughout our season and into the off-season.
I would welcome the opportunity to interview with you for a more in-depth
discussion of my qualifications. Please feel free to call me at (256) 881-
3837.
Best regards,
Earl Grilliot
