Trained in the Avionics and Electrical aspects of Equipment Specialist.
Attended all the classes that pertained to the job. Wrote Time
Compliance Technical Orders . Addressed and corrected problems associated
with Technical Orders. Assisted the program manager and engineer
assigned to my IPT. Went TDY to different bases to check on
modifications assigned to the program manager. Example were the C-130
aircraft removed from Davis Montham AFB and converted to tanker aircraft.
Helped to correct any problems found in any associated equipment that
were found in the C-130 Aircraft . Was a crew member in
Negotiating contract proposals to convert C-130E’s into tankers.
Civil Service, 908th Tactical Airlift Group, Maxwell AFB, AL,25th Aerial
Port Squadron, Instructor Loadmaster, 07/83-08/00
Supervisor of the Aerial Delivery Section, where I supervised eight
airman assigned. Kept up with all their training and their assigned
tasks. Ensured that all the airdrop equipment was rigged and ready for
airdrop . Packed all the cargo parachutes and made sure they were ready
and serviceable for airdrop . Loaded airdrop loads to their assigned
aircraft for airdrop . Worked the drop zone as a DZ officer controlling
the drop zone . Recovered the airdrop loads after the airdrops and
returned them to the squadron. As an instructor loadmaster I had to
complete all the requirements as a loadmaster. Two heavy equipment
drops, two container deliver system drops and one personnel drop every
six months. Assigned students to get them qualified to fly without an
instructor . Taught aircraft systems, checklists and crew coordination.

Fight Mechanic on the assigned C- 7A aircraft . Also an assistant crew
chief on two assigned aircraft. Duties involved doing the preflight
inspections before flight. Scanning the engine instruments during takeoff
and landings . Continuous scans of the engines, wings and cargo
compartment during flight. If we had cargo had to load aircraft, tie the
cargo down and do the Form F, Aircraft Weight and Balance, for flight.
At destination downloaded cargo and checked with Aerial Port to determine
if there was cargo for the next flight. Took care of passengers. As a
assistant crew chief assisted the crew chief in inspecting, fueling, and
cleaning the aircraft. Any discrepancies found in the air or on the
ground were reported and or fixed. Kept the aircraft airworthy.

Reciprocating Engine Mechanic, 908th Maintenance Squadron, Maxwell AFB,

Worked R2000-7M2 engines for the C-7a aircraft. . This included engine
buildup from Quick Engine Change Kits delivered from supply. Tore down
engines for return to depot for refurbishing . Repaired any discrepancy
