interact with individuals while being mindful of their different

lifestyles.

- during my time at Sonoma State my psychology courses also put

me many situations where I was highly emotional class

sessions listening to my peers life stories as they pertain to each

class. Being present when individuals revealed such personal details of

their lives allowed to me to develop a strong sense of empathy and

excellent listening skills. This will help me relate to future

customers and coworkers.

- Having to interact with teachers at the child development center

also helped with developing effective communication skills

because all employees were required to constantly communicate

about the children in the classrooms so we could give accurate

and detailed information about children to the parents when

they had inquiries about their children.

Managerial/Organizational skills:

for watching up to three small children on my own. Having to do this

allowed me to develop a great ability to multi task and give my

area whether it be the classroom or outside I also had to make

sure the children's surroundings was suitable for them to interact

in.

organizations where we learned about the dynamics organizations and

how to effectively work as a member of an organization but also how

be an effective leader in the organization.

- In other psychology courses I took learned about managerial

ideas created by Maslow and his hierarchy of needs, having a

knowledge of Maslow's hierarchy of needs will allow me to

effectively manage future coworkers by relating and listening to

their needs thus helping create a positive work environment.

Computer /office skills:

- Substituted at the child development center as the receptionist

where I learned answer a multiple line phone, and proper phone

etiquette, along with filing papers.

- Also was enrolled in a computer science course at Sonoma state

where I gained the skills to use excel, power point, and micro

soft word

- While in this class I also gained the skills in using Windows, Mac Os X operating systems
