Objective:

My objective is to obtain a position working as part of a floor maintenance team. My eleven

years of experience in commercial cleaning and floor maintenance: stripping, waxing, scrubbing

and buffing has prepared me for the challenge. Additionally, I have carpet cleaning experience.

Work Experience:

• 01/09-11/09, Floor Technician American Building Maintenance

Conducted all floor maintenance and repair duties at a leading pharmaceutical facility such as

buffing, scrubbing, waxing, vacuuming, and general cleaning for: vinyl composition tile (VCT),

cement, hard wood, and rubber floors. Sanitized pharmaceutical production areas, performed

weekly water purification for product manufacture.

• 03/08-11/08, Floor Technician/Commercial Custodian standar Textile

Lead specialized floor cleaning teams to routinely strip and wax floors as needed. Performed

industrial cleaning of the hospitality division of a major work wear apparel manufacturer.

Followed company cleaning guidelines for nightly cleaning of offices, bathrooms, weight rooms,

cafeteria, conference rooms, windows, ceiling vents, and sewing facilities. The cleaning services

included disinfecting weight equipment, shower stalls, and latrines. Conducted light

maintenance activities such as replaced lighting, unclogged drains, and trash removal.

• 05/07-03/08, Commercial Custodian/Floor Technician American Building Maintenance

Performed commercial cleaning of a regional telecom company office building. Followed

company procedures for cleaning and maintaining offices, bathrooms, cafeteria, conference

rooms, windows, carpets, and flooring.

• 11/97-12/06, Custodian GSF North America Company

Received training to adhere to company cleaning policies for a local catholic university. Learned

and executed procedures for cleaning and maintaining offices, church facility, dormitories,

bathrooms, cafeteria, windows, carpets, and various types of flooring. Duties included trash

removal, vacuuming, dusting, buffing, waxing, wipe downs, and upholstery. Promoted to crew

leader for special floor projects and trained others in floor cleaning techniques. Tracked and

replenished cleaning supply inventory and supply budget.

• 07/95-12/95, Dietary Deaconess Hospital

Prepped food for chef, arranged patient trays, operated dishwasher, and served cafeteria guests.

Floor Tech Skills:

Propane buffer (stripping/burnishing), truck mounted and portable carpet cleaning extractor,

pressure washer, and carpet bonnet.
