ADDENDUM
KEY PROJECTS (Selected)
Projects include data center/telecommunication facilities, boiler plants
(steam /hot water), ice rinks (dehumidification), chilled water
plants/systems, educational and healthcare facilities ...
Verizon Wireless
. Cincinnati -Mechanical lead/project management for Verizon Wireless'
largest, 72,000sq.ft. Administration/ switch facility. $20 million in
mechanical work included; multiple/redundant HVAC/DX systems, multi-
room smoke purge systems, heat recovery ventilation systems and a
three-tank fuel oil system for 5 emergency generators, all automated
by a 1,600 point DDC system.
. Syracuse / Rochester/ Pittsburg, PA/ Columbus, OH, new 41,000 sq. ft.
administration/ switch facilities, predecessors of the Cincinnati
project. Provided performance based Fire Protection contract documents
for these buildings
Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory
. Central Computer Facility; Understanding the clients objective, took
clients initial concept and developed innovative, budget saving two-
phase concept into a project to replace 500 ton cooling towers and
join two chilled water plants into one chilled water plant. Project
utilized two, once a year, 48 hour shutdowns.
. Central Computer Facility; Understanding the clients objective, took
clients initial outdoor, rooftop emergency chiller concept and
developed an indoor concept. Project saved budget and utilized a close-
by mechanical space that formally held a chiller system.
. Developed schematic report with plans for a 80,000sq. ft. multi-level
Materials Development Building. Systems/spaces developed for the
report were chilled water and steam utilities entrance, constant and
VAV HVAC systems. Central mechanical room locations, various
compressed gases, hot and tempered water loop systems.
. Project Mechanical Lead for a 20,000 sq. ft. Maintenance and Repair
facility. Mechanical work included, Constant and VAV HVAC Systems,
high pressure steam reducing station, steam and hot water piping
systems, compressed gases and air systems, vehicle, paint booth and
bench exhaust systems, and two dust collection systems.
State University of New York - Health Science Center / Wieskotten Hall
. Health Science Center - Chilled Water Upgrades; Project
Manager/Mechanical Lead for providing 1500 ton cooling tower
replacement, two 730 ton electrical and one 720 absorption chillers
into the basement area. Project involved locating the system expansion
tanks to the 10th floor and installing a pumped (recirculated) vent
line from the basement air removal assembly to the expansion tanks and
back, to make room for the secondary chilled water pumps/piping for
the new primary/secondary chilled water system.
. Wieskotten Hall; Construction Manager/Mechanical lead, building was
decoupled from the Hospital basement system and a new dual 600 ton
chilled water primary/secondary plant was created in the basement.
Cooling towers were located on the 11th floor roof. Condenser lines
utilized a laboratory fume hood chase on the exterior wall from the
basement to the roof deck.
Ithaca College - Whalen Building HVAC Evaluation
. HVAC evaluation of the Sony recording studio equipment failures lead
to the recommendations of a separate DX cooling system for the
computer rack room, replacing the carpet with cork flooring, replacing
the ceiling tiles with non- fibrous type and perform all electronic
maintenance repair with the use of cleaning products outside of the
studio.
SUNY ESF - Maintenance Building
. HVAC /exhaust piping/ductwork modifications including PTAC water
source heat pump system
